1 is gonna disappear if i press it! that i know, but its not gonna take care my problem about turning on and off scan list.

When the 1 disappears, that scan list has been disabled (or turned off), which means it is not being scanned. The same thing applies to all 20 scan lists, as they are enabled and disabled.

You either programmed the 800MHz freqs in another list or you failed to save list 2 after programming them. Don't you know how to check?

krokus gave a clear description in this post.
When the 1 disappears, that scan list has been disabled (or turned off), which means it is not being scanned. The same thing applies to all 20 scan lists, as they are enabled and disabled.

And I gave another clear description in this post.
Prior to 1 disappearing did you see OFF at right side of line three on display?
Did you see the off or on on display as you press 1? If so, isn't that clear enough?

im still stuck on this scan list stuff! i read the manual, but it don't seem like it told me much about turning scan lists off and on.

In the Index pages on page 123 of owners manual find Scan Lists. Page 41 is best example to indicate what we mean regarding Enable and Disable. The other pages indicate scanlist membership. As mentioned above, it could be you don't have anything programmed (or Mapped) to scanlist 2

yeah you right about i already had the 800mhz frequencies in scan list 1 so when i press the button to make scan list one disappear and tried to program those same frequencies in scan list 2 it still said nothing enabled! i kinda figure that had something to do with me already having the 800mhz frequencies in scan list 1! but i think i do pretty good on the save part though.

Does a * appear next to Scanlist 5 when you programmed the freqs? If not you failed to program list 5 correctly To get the * at list 5 press SEL

I'm glad to hear that you're figuring out the scanner. I still suggest using software, it is much easier.

That question would be valid in the iCOM Receivers Forum. Post questions about iCOM receivers there.

Be sure to start a new thread with your question by clicking the "New Thread" button in the middle-left above the "Announcement" threads.

We have Forums for just about any topic related to radio (List of Forums).
