Programming My Radio Shack Po 2055.

I have entered all the the frequencies.
and all the Bank (in 0 bank) Id's I would Like to hear on the system I programmed.
when I place in scan mode. NOTHING is recieved???????
whn I have in manual mode I hear Everyone that is on the channel I am on,
BUT again as soonas I scan ????? NOTHIN.
the channels are all set to ED = EDACS Standard.
the ID's I entered R all on. 'NOT Locked out.'

WHAT AM I DOIN wrong. ANYONE PLEASE Help.

We need to know where you're at and what you are trying to listen to. A link to the system in the RR database would be great. This might get better answers in the local board for your area.

Is the LCN correct? Also be sure you start your frequency programming in bank 0 on channel 001 not 000.
Sounds like your trying to monitor Will County Public Safety Correct?

remenber if its a edac system the first frequency line is left blank and the frequencys must be in lcn order

As stated by swstow, start in channel 01 of bank 0 for the first LCN frequency 866.27500. Do you hear a Control noise when manually set on any of the red frequencies?

Also, has the system rebanded? If so, the LCN is not listed so you may need to run a decoding software, UniTrunker or ETrunker to determine LCN order, though the 2055 may be able to help determine LCN during voice coms.

As stated above, if it is in Bank 0, the LCN would be 001, 002, 003, etc.. Put all RED CC frequencies(860Mhz) in the appropriate numbered channel numbers as the LCN #. If I could take the time to find what county your city is in, you can take the time to enter the frequencies in the channels. Making sure that the bank is in EDACS mode, and the frequencies are in EDACS mode. Your radio will then scan the frequencies when you press the SCAN button I own a Pro97 which is the handheld version of this scanner. I, also, own the newer version of the 2055 (Pro-163). Win97 is the preferred software to program these radios. Do not put in the 850Mhz frequencies in. They are for when rebanding takes place.
