R8500 Software

I have original RS-8500 install disks that came with my R8500 that show v1.0 produced in 1997.

Has Icom produced any newer version of this software?

Other than Bob Parnass's TK software has anyone used other programming and control software for the 8500?

I just checked mine, same year, same version.

I have used Spectrum Commander. It reads and writes the memory, and it can control the 8500.
There is a demo version if you want to check it out...

I got the Scancat-Gold and that can be used on 100 different model types and it works great with the AOR,ICOM,UNIDEN,YAESU,RADIO SHACK,and the good thing with this software it gets updated when new Radios come on the market.
