That's great it all worked. My problem now is i am setting radiofeed up on a different pc. Win7 fresh clean install. My problem now is that i can only connect with the local ip. The external won't connect. I went into windows firewall and allowed RF. I am thinking some sort of network set up problem. What should i be looking for?

Router port forwarding needs setup for TCP traffic on the computer IP address and port number specified in the RadioFeed Web Server.

The port forwarding needs to be set for whichever interface is in use. You cannot switch back and forth, without making the changes in the port forwarding. (They have different MAC addresses, so the router sees them as different computers, which means they get different IP addresses on your network.)

Hum is typically from one of two things. Most commonly is a grounding issue, so making sure you have all the ground connections tied to one ground point, in a star formation. Using a ground loop isolator is another option.

There is a chance there is a bit of DC on the line, so using a DC block would work for that case. (Which is going to be a capacitor being placed in the line.)

pearock1 - i put a ground loop isolator in-between my scanner and pc... they cost like 6 bucks on ebay... it helped a good bit.

Another option for taking out the hum is to use RadioFeed's notch filter function, but I would add the aforemenetioned ground loop isolator first.

Thanks for all your help. I just bought a bearcat bct15x and need some help programming in the San Bernardino system 10 into it. I followed along with a guy's video on YouTube which seemed helpful but but when it does pick up a talk group its real faint and lists of static. It also gets hung up on a id I didn't program into it.

Pearock, what are you using to program the 15x with? If you haven't, grab FreeScan and use that. System 10 is a splinter system, and needs to be programmed as such, otherwise you get reception exactly as you described.

Also, the Easier to read 15x manual is always nice to reference when needed (and shows where to edit for Splinter Systems):

Remote Scanner Over IP Server works with the ProScan Remote Scanner Over IP Client (for full control) and the ProScan Free Client (for monitoring only). No browser involved.

I am thinking about getting Whistler WS1040 Digital Handheld Police Scanner. Will proscan work with this scanner? What is the benefit of a digital verses a analog scanner?
