is this a good scanner im going to buy but dont know what one to get i need to use it at my local track to
to keep up on the track crew will this work for that

If the crew is still using the older radio frequencies,not digital, and not the newer radios that can't be scanned, it would work, but this is too much radio just for that purpose, in my opinion! Of course I don't know what type of "crew" you are referring to. Find someone with an old Pro-95, 97,164 for a cheap price.
