Receiving NWS alerts

I think this is the right place for my question, if not feel free to move. Im trying to find any information about receiving and or decoding the weather service alert texts. Example..watches warnings and daily breifings. Like the ones you may get on weatherbug and such. I dont even know that its put out over radio or satelite but would be handy and fun to play with. I know that ships can receive the satelite data and decode it into maps. If your not sure what im asking let me know ill try to explain it better. Thanks

Quite honestly, your easiest/cheapest/best option would be to set it up through an internet connection. Either on your own through RSS/E-Mail or through a paid progam which will distribute them for you.
