Sarasota P25

Hi Guys,

Have agencies such as Longboat Key Police. EMS & Fire moved to the new Sarasota P25 network, if so could someone provide me with the details, frequencies, talkgroups etc.

I have not heard or read any new updates to this in quite some time. Both counties are on the same systems as far as I know.

Found an update from last month in May.

Manatee, Sarasota commissions discuss transit collaboration efforts

-- Heard an update about the Suncoast Regional Communications Network, the P25 radio project, which is 15 percent complete. The project is currently in site preparation, according to Wednesday's presentation.

Longboat Key has moved to the current Sarasota 800MHz radio system. Fire is Dispatched on Dispatch 1 and they use the TAC and CMD 1 talkgroups.

So they dumped the use of the Manatee Co EDACS system. Perhaps they bought Motorola mobiles in preparation for the move, although its not to be a Motorola according to what I read>

EDACS will be around to the end is they way I read it. How they phase this in etc, anyone's best guess.
