Thank you.

Hopefully I can get the output from a 996 as well and a 536.

And please do a capture when idle and active. Was the above when it was active or idle on the scanner?

I had the scanner scanning at the time but it did not stop on anything,

This is when the scanner is scanning and stops on a busy frequency,
uniden 396t scanner

I haven't tried it with either. I suppose I could do that now.

Both provide "Scanning or idle" when connected, and display the correct info when receiving.

Question what remote code can I use to get the UID except sts? STS is different on each scanner and contains all kinds of nasty control codes. The formatting is not comma delimited although it tires to be. The most requested feature I have is for the UID to be added, I have also noticed that the UID appears on the scanner sometimes mid stream and not at the start. I can deal with the mid stream part.

UPMan can you assist me on this question?

I like the GLG command because it is comma delimited and the same on scanners that use it.

Also if you have any tips on parsing the STS command that might help.

Just curious if the only info you need from the GLG command is the UID, is it per chance prefixed with "UID:" in the command? If so, you could just search for that, and the data following?

That is a possibility, the STS command returns a lot of data on the 436 and 536 I want a command that is more direct... That way I can get the return data quicker and more efficiently over the serial connection as I am probing the scanner with GLG every 1/2 second already. If I have to use STS and parse it for UID then I will have to make two calls to the scanner GLG and STS if the scanner is active then grab the UID from that once it appears during the transmission.

I wish uniden would give me a beta remote command reference for the 536 and 436.

They may have a developer program that you could sign up for but you will most likely have to sign an NDA..

I got on the website filled out a contact me request asking if they had a developers program and let them know about the program I wrote hopefully I will hear something from them.

Question.

I looked at the HP-1 rmt status command and it is great it returns more than enough info including the UID and then some in a neat and tidy comma delimited format.

I wonder if the new 436 and 536 will support the RMT Status command or something similar?

Has anyone tried the RMT commands on the 436 and 536?

I wonder if they are going to come out with a HP-2 that supports TMDA II.

is there any way to find the latest PC version without manually crawling all posts of this thread? Looks pretty, pretty, pretty pretty good!

New version of SSDiag PC for the HP-1

I want to add support for the HP-1 but I need your help because I do not have one.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_Jndzk4GdzJclJHb1BsTEZIREk/edit?usp=sharing

If you have the HP-1 please run this program and paste the output to this forum when the scanner is idle and active.

Thank you!

It also looks like uniden might add support for the RMT commands in the future for the 436 and 536, this would be good news as I could do one call and it would cover the newest scanners and have the UID info. I am assuming as some of the RMT commands work as noted buy other posts in the forums.
