Has anyone else received this error message when trying to view information on the ScanNewEngland website?

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.snewiki.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

I am on windows 10, using Firefox 136.0.2, and Norton, and Malwarebytes. In the past I have been able to log on to view information in the RI portal without any problems.

Disable/Shut off Malwarebytes, seems they have flagged SNE
One of the Core users indicated he needed to add the entire IP address to get it to function

I only use Malwarebytes to Scan periodically, so no issues for me.

HI Bill, thanks for the additional update. Do you know what the IP address is for ScanNewEngland so I can add it to my Malwarebytes program?

This seems to be limited to Malwarebytes at this point and is apparently a false positive of some nature. As excluding the website doesn't solve the problem, the IP to exclude is: 108.178.43.106 .

For peace of mind purposes, the webhosts have done scans and found no issues.

Additionally, the Google Transparency Report shows no issues: Google Transparency Report

Other well-known online security scanners also did not detect any issues with the website.

It seems this is just a "one of those things" things at the moment.

Scott-
Thank you very very much, that did the trick. It is much appreciated. That worked like a charm!
