that is really old and does not have the new features.

New features? What, all that fancy skins crap? and floating widgets? I use it to listen to airband and to fast scan for new control channels. Tried news versions after 1742 and they all sounded the same.

I already did, and there is no malware, so is just a false positive in Norton only.

and the bad news is that 1913 still crashes.
Yup, it was a false positive. I restored the dependencies from quarantine and got v1913 to run.

But I confirm that it is still unstable. It closed when I adjusted the RF gain.

I feel like we are being used as Beta testers of newer versions of SDR#.

Always been the case.
It's a shame that Prog:
doesn't acknowledge problems,
doesn't note fixes to reported problems in the 'change log',
and generally reacts like a spoilt child if anyone dares post anything negative asbout the software

Of course the software is actually worth what we are paying for it (unlike a lot of other radio-related software!)

So over at groups .io , one user said this fixed it for them

It indeed helps 1913 run a little longer...after several frequency changes 1913 still crashes with the same errors logged in windows event viewer

Oh well, only use it for FM dx'n I'm good with 1910 for that...if I buy an r2 it would just be used with sdrtrunk anyhow lol
