Fixed for next release.

Fix: If log file path was changed externally, it would cause crash.
- If path was renamed/moved/deleted externally to plug-in, it would cause crash.
- Same would result if above was done while scanner was running, it would cause crash.
- When the defined log path cannot be found, it will default back to using the SDR# root folder.

I'm sorry if I'm being too insistent, but can we expect an update (like the one by @thewraith2008 ) that allows to correctly read the frequencies stored in the "Frequency Manager" plugin when a dark theme is activated? (my eyes don't support light themes anylonger). This would be really great.

See my previous post, showing the issue I have to deal with.

Thanks again.

Hi Y'all
I've noticed a glitch with my SDR# V1.0.0.1784 & Frequency Scanner 2.1.1.0 (running on Windows 7) - you have to have the scanner plugin open before you hit 'start' otherwise the #scan now' button remains grayed out and doesn't work. No big deal but just a FYI to the group.

Yes this is known and has been fixed for next release.

Code:
Fix: 'Start scan' button
- If plug-in control window (side panel) was closed when started radio in SDR#, the 'Start scan' button
would stay disabled when window was shown again. 'Play' stop/start was required to enable again (with window visible).

Slight issue with v1784 and fast scanner 2.1.1.
If Frequency Scanner tab is set to "auto hide" in sdr# the "start scan" button is disabled.
thewraith2008 (author of fast scanner) knows about this behaviour and it is fixed for next release.

Workaround, for now
For now, either don't use 'Auto hide' function or make sure window (with 'Start scan' button) is visible when SDR# play is started each time.

And am I missing something - is it possible to zoom in to the bottom of the channel analyzer so as to see 0-10-20-30 etc. only - if you make the window bigger it just increases the signal range leaving the bit at the bottom (the interesting bit) the same (small) size?

If only that was mentioned in the documentation......

This is no scaling of the channel analyzer, in particular the signal level for the Y-Axis. (There is only zoom for the X-Axis)
If you wish to see the signal level, can you not just use the range/offset and this will just 'zoom in' on the main spectrum.

To make the channel analyzer scale requires a bit of messing around.
At this stage I'm trying to sort other things out first.
Scaling requires the following to be changed: Signal level, Graduations and Trigger/Hysteresis level lines.

It would be nice just to have SDR# remember the channel analyzer height. (and the step size and the .......)

@thewraith2008 - thanks for the quick response. It’s a great plugin and a big improvement on the SDR# packaged one. I guess you can’t please everyone all the time. I might try my 2nd screen on a lower resolution - that should do it. Keep up the good work.

I have SDR# 1784 with Vasili's Frequency Manager installed. Can you add frequencies manually, like a typical hardware scanner, to the Frequency Manager? Does the Frequency Scanner have to save the frequencies itself before you can enter them into the Frequency Manager?

I'm waiting for an Airspy R2,so I don't have the SDR connected to the SDRsharp software yet. When I go into the Frequency Manager it doesn't allow me to add any frequencies at all.

Scan any band and save a random/any frequency in freq manager using the new button and save it, then close sdr #.
Open sdr# folder, you will now see a file called frequencies.xml
You can edit this to create multiple entries of the frequency entries you want to retain in frequency manager.
The frequencies.xml file will not appear in sdr# folder until you save a frequency first, any one will do.

Further to the above reply:
External edits to frequencies.xml should only be done when sdrsharp is closed.

This is the only way it can be done.

No.
The Frequency Scanner plug-in does not make changes the the database created by the Frequency Manager (Standard or Vasili's version)
It uses (reads) the database depending on scan mode used.
And depending on scan mode used, a new active frequencies list is created and you use that to in a roundabout way to add the frequencies to the Frequency Manager database.

I'm waiting for an Airspy R2,so I don't have the SDR connected to the SDRsharp software yet. When I go into the Frequency Manager it doesn't allow me to add any frequencies at all.
You can not add frequencies to Vasili's FreqMan (Frequency Manager) when SDR# is not "playing".

When SDR# is playing and "New" is clicked, a window is opened with fields to be entered.
Click "OK" when done changing fields and then entry will be added to list (database in frequencies.xml)

It's not recommended to manually edit the frequencies.xml file as this can corrupt the XML structure.
If you do make edits (while SDR# is closed), then backup before edit as error will most likely see the file wiped out.

Is there a limit to how many frequencies can be added to the Frequency Manager?

Thanks for the info guys.

There is no hard limits set. (a least for FreqMan)
Performance issues would probably come in to play if you had a squillion frequency entries. (CPU/RAM)
Issues probably noticeable at start or when sorting list or when displaying entries in spectrum/waterfall when many are displayed.

I'm thinking less than 1000 frequencies. Does the frequency manager sort the frequencies from lowest to highest or are they just left in the order they are entered?

Ok,so I could enter the frequencies I wanted manually into the Frequency Manager and then choose to sort Lowest to Highest Frequency,NICE!!!(y)

Which of the FM modes should be used for a FM frequency that has a 25Khz spacing,NFM or WFM? In SDRsharp there is no FM option.
