Hi there,

In your GIF above, I notice the "8.33 kHz selector is not ticked.
Does it mean it's no longer necessary now that SDR# provides a 8.3333 step ?
Not sure what you mean.
SDR# always had 8.33 KHz step size available. It just doesn't correctly tune to the 8.33 KHz aviation band plan.
That's what the 8.33KHz selector feature is for. (for manually tuning the correct frequencies)

It's not ticked because I/they don't use 8.33 KHz band plan in my region.

Can you turn ON option in Configure > Channel Analyser > "Show debug info" and try again.

I will need to look into this further later if this fixes that issue.

With 'Show debug info' checked:
the display shows the number of hits, session file contains frequencies with number of hits and csv is created
ie. the plugin works correctly if that is set.

Unchecking it again and re-running the scanner (without actually shutting sdrsharp down) and again the logging doesn't work

This is a update v2.2.2.0 to the great Frequency Scanner plug-in for SDR#.

This plug-in version adds/changes and fixes some items:
Code:
2.2.2.0 - Released

Added: Ability to offset 8.33 KHz 'channel name' on the main spectrum
- Maybe of use if you use 'Band Plan' position on 'Top'
NOTE: Other plug-ins may display information on the frequency spectrum where this 8.33 channel label is displayed.
This may help position label in a free area. (or not)

Fixed: Session hits was not functioning as expected
- The option 'Show debug info' was required to be enable for session hits to work. (This was not right)
A conditional was placed to early in code. Oops.

Updated: PDF Documentation
- Please read it

see changelog.txt for more details

Documentation has been created to help with it's installation and usage, please read it.
NOTE: Support is not guaranteed. Especially if the answers are contained in the documentation or on this forum.

I have tried to be as thorough as possible with the documentation to explain usage and features.
I believe any questions can be answered by reading this documentation.
This documentation most likely is not complete and may contain errors and is not laid out as good as it could be.

Testing has mainly been done with SDR# 1784.
Very limited testing has been done with SDR# 1766.
Limited testing has been done with SDR# 1700.
NOTE: SDR# has been going through some changes (1732+) and it's new features may see this plug-in play up.

Download
NOTE: Use 7zip or WinRAR to extract files from the .7z file and read the .PDF file for installation and usage of files with SDR#.

Confirm logging is functioning correctly again - thanks for fixing it

Also confirm the channel name offset works as intended with customised bandplan displayed at the top.

Hello, I am new here.
I found a small problem in de Freq-scanner.
During scan the squelch is aut. active, but if you Stop the scan the squelch is (if On selected in Radio) OFF.
The Start scan and Stop scan the Squelch is ON - so Off - On - Off - On - Off ect.
I hope you can reproduce this , and fix it . Hi

Hi there !

Could somebody explain what's wrong here : I'm tuned to a station on 126.175, which reception is fine (SDR# shows 41dB SNR). But when looking at the "channel analyser" this signal is totally absent, as if it wasn't there. It is stored in the memory bank and not locked (green marker) ...

It tried different setting (step 8333, 12500, 25000, scanning 126000 > 126 5000 only), no way to "see" this one as "active' on the channel analyser window. Thus, the scanner does not stop on it despite it's quite loud. There must be something obvious I'm missing ...

Below is a capture that will probably explain better than my approximate sentances !
Thanks for you help and congrats again on this great piece of plugin.

Your label for that frequency has "ATIS"
ATIS is a constant carrier transmission and the scanner when using 'Dynamic Noise Floor' will it null out.
This is used for removing 'birdies' or other constant noise that an SDR will see.

If you wish to 'see' it you will need to use 'Static Noise Floor'.

Latest version (v2.2.2.1) can be found here: MEGA - Download

Hi great plugin, would it be possible to have the ability to set a file name for the csv logging other than the date, so we have the choice to have it split by day as the default or a continuous/ longer running single file please

Within the file they are sorted lowest to highest based on frequency. For display purposes you can have them low to high or high to low based on Label or frequency.

WFM is for broadcast FM. Everything else is NFM (most receivers tend to label it as FM but it's the same thing) and you can adjust your bandwidth and step size to suit

Can WFM be used for FM if the bandwidth and step size is adjusted accordingly? I need to keep NFM set to it's bandwidth and step size settings for other frequencies.

It might help if you explained what it is you are trying to do and how this relates to the frequency scanner plugin.
