I noticed the eBay seller has now pulled the SDS100 after selling 23. Who knows, it may reappear after the coupon goes away. Not going to rehash all that again...

I'm everywhere Focker!
Thread cleaned up again.

Let's keep this discussion about prices (and associated fees such as taxes/shipping/handling/whatever) and what dealers are selling it. Not about Amazon NOT selling it, what accessories it comes with, how it performs or other such matters.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

FYI here's a very good deal I just found on the SDS100 at the FactoryOutletStore.com. They are selling the SDS100 for $649.99 like everybody else but they are offering a 5% discount if you use the promo code FATHERS518. I added it to my cart and I can purchase the SDS100 for $617.49 with FREE shipping included and it is currently in stock. There is no mention about charging any sales tax and it was not added to my shopping cart (which would be going to Massachusetts if I ordered).

This sale is supposed to last until tomorrow, June 11th, but I wouldn't waste any time if you really want one of these brand-new SDS100 scanners for 5% off. Here's the link if you want one or just want more information about this deal: https://udn.factoryoutletstore.com/details/611350/uniden-sds100.html

We are attempting to restrict distribution channels to the specialty scanner channel for this new scanner as much as possible. Based on how many we have coming in and how big the demand is, there is little current incentive for dealers to utilize those channels. Not saying it won't happen (can't control that), but would be very surprised to see it happen very soon.

Thank you Uniden (and Paul) for making us little guys happier.

I do know that the distributors have been complaining for quite some time.

Now, about that stereo output on the new mobile......!

Uh oh, here we go again...

Just as an FYI to put things in perspective, the $32.50 saved by purchasing the SDS100 from the FactoryOutletStore ($649.99 minus $617.49) can be put towards the Uniden NXDN upgrade which at last check was still at $30. It will be like getting the NXDN upgrade for FREE with the money saved and you will still have $2.50 left over if you take advantage of this deal: https://udn.factoryoutletstore.com/details/611350/uniden-sds100.html

Got one - Thanks to MTC in Plano TX

I'm in Norman OK for a symposium. Arrived early, called Main Trading Company and asked if they had a SDS100 in stock. They said yes, I gave them my credit card number, and jumped in my car.

I arrived about 3 hours later and Richard greeted me. Sitting on the counter was my new "toy". Kudos to Richard and all the ladies (we were out numbered). While I was there, I enquired about a new replacement mic for a mobile Yaesu (worn connector). They didn't have one with DTMF keypad, but they were more that willing to look up and get me a Yeasu replacement number (I think it was Richard's wife)!

I paid $649.00 plus TX sales tax. Richard is now out of stock on the SDS100s, but stated more on the way. I'll be passing out his business cards at the conference (and letting other people play with the toy).

I had ordered the Uniden GPS cable for the SDS100 (just in case I found a SDS100), got in the car, and tried to hook it up and FAILED - I had forgotten - I had the Garmin GPS installed in the car, there is one in my garage in MN (big help)! Lesson learned - so I went to Amazon and ordered the Uniden GPS and I am doing an overnight to the hotel (hope it arrives prior to my departure on Friday.

My game plan is to alternate between a HP2, 436, and 536 against a SDS, all using GPS location control on my drive back to MN. I still haven't figure out the antenna configuration (yet) I have an external NMO using about 10 feet of LMR400 cable with SMA pigtail on a Larsen trio-band. I have SMA and BNC Diamond SH77CA,s a RS 800 MHZ, and the "stock" antennas (but they don't count). If anyone has any suggestions, let me now.

I'll hate to see my "shrink" bill - if I ever go back to "chat". For the record - no, I'm not married; but my granddaughter ratted me out to my daughter (who called, when I was in MTC store) - so I did get "busted - I'm going with it is an early Father's Day present to myself!

Amazon

At 8:30am EST today (6/13), I saw a SDS100 for sale by a third party on Amazon, with a price of $649. As of 11am, I no longer see the listing.

In the interest of full disclosure, I did not read this entire thread. But in what I have read I didn’t see a reference of anyone buying direct from Uniden. After hemming and hawing about whether to take the leap YESTERDAY MORNING. I searched all the usual suspects listed in the first 15 or 20 posts here and every single one was out of stock with no replacements due in until the end of the month or early July.

Then I checked Uniden’s factory store (udn.factoryoutletstore.com). Plenty on hand at $649.99 + $3.95 for priority shipping. I picked that as opposed to the free ground freight since I wasn’t sure where it would ship from and now that I made up my mind, I didn’t want to wait a week or more for it to get to Holland, MI.

When I got up this morning and saw the FedEx email saying it was on the truck for delivery today I freaked out because I had to go to Elkhart, IN and wouldn’t be at my shop to receive it (I’m the chief cook and bottle washer; no employees). So, at 8:00 I preemptively called FedEx to see if they had an online form I could fill out and leave for the driver instead of finding the little sorry we missed you sticker on the door. No form, but they could message the driver with instructions. Cool!

Not so fast, Buffalo Bob! At 11:00 I got the dreaded sorry we missed you email. Back to the phone. Hey FedEx! Didn’t you message the driver?! “It’s up to the driver’s discretion as to whether they leave the package.” Now I’ll have to sign the little sticker that will be on the door when I get back. And on top of that, I’ve got to go back to Indiana tomorrow and won’t be able to play with it for another whole day!!

Edit: I discovered that it shipped from South Bend. Heck, I could have picked the darned thing up!!

Note: That is an independent site and not part of or affiliated with Uniden (just a dealer).

Don't trust Factoryoutletstore.

I ordered on Sunday...they promised me they were in stock. I paid for two day shipping through Fedex, with promised delivery on Wed, June 13th. Monday came and it was supposed to ship -no tracking number available. Tuesday came, same story..no tracking info or any other info available from the customer service rep in Lahore. Wednesday came. No scanner delivery, no tracking number, still no information from customer service.

After three phone calls, two emails, and some protest, I finally got them to refund my CC the full amount.

Perhaps they really did NOT have them in stock. Who knows. It was worth a shot due to the good price of $617.00.

I wonder if they intentionally did not fill your order because you managed to purchase it on Sunday when their 5% discount brought the price of the SDS100 down to $617.49 instead of the regular $649.99. That would have made the $617.49 price below the MAP price of $649.99 required by Uniden.

I seem to recall others posting on this board that they purchased from the FactoryOutletStore.com after Sunday at the regular price of $649.99 and they received their scanners. Something doesn't sound quite right here. If they intentionally cancelled shipping of your scanner because of the MAP pricing issue they should have been honest with you and told you so.

If you are still in the market to buy one for $649.99, webtron-x on eBay still has limited inventory available: https://www.ebay.com/itm/123177397896
