SDS100/SDS200: SDS100 beginning of transmissions cut off

While listening to a P25 phase II system on my SDS100, when the dispatcher states the time, the beginning of the time is cut off, lets say the time is 8:06am. EX: police unit: unit 12 in service. dispatcher: 8:06.

The dispatcher says 8:06, but my SDS100 only picks up "06", not the "8:06". I can confirm the dispatcher is saying the full time because on my SDR this is not a problem.

Does anybody know why my scanner is cutting off the beginning of these transmissions?

Scanning too many systems?
Scanning too many sites on this one system?

Does it only do it with dispatcher replying with a short reply like time?
Only scanning 1 system, the Albany/Schenectady County P25 System. Only 1 site, the Albany County Cell.

I’m pretty sure it does this every time someone speaks, but it is very noticeable when the dispatcher states the time.

This is the result of the SDS scanners taking longer than other scanners to decode digital and also having time lost in processing. I get the same thing on WISCOM and my county sheriff's P25 conventional channel, where my SDS will cut off transmissions or lag significantly behind any of my other digital scanners.

I don't have that experience on the P25 trunking system in my area, so there must be more variables at play than the SDS series using an SDR.

Don’t get how it could be an SDS issue, nobody else has mentioned this issue that I could find. I mean it’s just a $650 radio 🙄

Not having this issue either, so I would look into your programming on the SDS scanner. Priorities, use of filters, attenuator at site level. Did you self program or depend on the database download? Too many variables to make an accurate diagnosis.

It happens on self programmed and database programming. I have no priorities on, I've tried every filter and there's no difference, have tried attenuator on/off both don't work. Ask away, just trying to get this fixed.

Can you take a video with a good clear shot of the screen.

That doesn't mean it's immune to having issues. Cold solder joint, anyone? Hell, $80k cars have recalls because they have issues.

I've noted on multiple digital scanners, particularly my Unidens, short P25 transmissions get chopped off partially and sometimes nearly entirely. I've always felt it's the way Uniden decodes digital. On the same system my $70 RS-197 decodes perfectly where my 436hp occasionally has this issue.

on our system there are some dispatchers who should not be on the radio.
one has a very heavy accent, and the other two are opposites.
one cuts out the beginning of a sentence, like the example, and the other cuts off the end "eight O'" (six)
due to an older issue with one now ex-dispatcher, the units just wait for the computer for the information.
the only give away is the parking guys who do not have a computer. they ask for a repeat.

so, is it maybe one or two dispatchers ?
why would you not hear the beginning of the cars ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "audio type", do you mean the filters?
No, filters are an entirely different thing....
Now that I think of it, audio type is N/A for P25.

For example, on Moto Type II systems, you can set analog, digital or auto.
When set to auto, the radio may take a bit to figure out what it is before breaking squelch...

Yeah, no such thing as audio type in the SDS100 settings
