I was going to update my SDS200E. I download Sentinel but then when I press Firmware it doesn't work.
Is the radio connected to the PC in mass storage mode while performing the action?

Är radion ansluten till datorn i masslagringsläge när du utför åtgärden?

When you press firmware upgrade, do you get a popup window that asks you where the SD card are that it should place the firmware file on?
And after that selection is done does another window popup that says that it checks the Uniden server for new files?

Those are windows problems in the first case and network problems in the second case and if it fails in a third case it could be that you do not use the E version of Sentinel.

It looks as if you try to load the US firmware in the european SDS200E scanner, or the other way around.
Download the Siren for SDS200E and try again. Product Info | Uniden
The Avera.eu website says that it is Uniden Japan who should have the updates.

FIRMWARE UPDATES:
Uniden Japan has a website where most recent versions of Sentinel and FW updates can be found for the models UBCD3600XLTm SDS100E abd SDS200E.
Click for link

UPDATING FIRMWARE
Your scanner updates its firmware through Sentinel. In that process, Sentinel connects to the
internet and checks for the current firmware version to download.
From time to time, Uniden will release firmware updates to improve existing functionality
, add new
features, or address issues found in its operation. Updating the firmware takes just a few minutes
and is easily accomplished using the Sentinel Software you installed on your PC.
Simply connect your scanner to your PC using the supplied USB cable and select
Mass Storage
.
Then, in Sentinel, select
UPDATE/Update Firmware
and follow the on-screen prompts.
For information about what is included in each update, see:

But if you go to that link: "The topic 'SDS200FirmwareUpdates' you are trying to access does not exist, yet."

Sentinel uses the ftp protocol to get the firmware from the server, so as long as your network can handle that it should be ok to use any win version that can install Sentinel.

The E version of Sentinel are missing the capability to change the target model. It is stuck in SDS100E mode. So it will download the SDS100E firmware and that is not compatible with the SDS200E and will say that it is a missmatch between scanner and file.

You have to contact the seller, probably Limmared, and request the correct Sentinel version for the SDS200E. You can still read and program Favorite lists but you cannot edit the display info and update the scanner with new firmware until you can set the target model to SDS200E.
There is referencies to SDS200E in the Sentinel exe file but I also tried to see if there was a special Sentinel for SDS200E and changed the link that downloads Sentinel "Product Info | Uniden" to instead say sds200e but there was no such page.

You don't need to update if you already have version 1.10.06

Ubbe I think we may have got the point across like you posted you have to use the version Sentinel for the version Scanner you have either the SDSx00 American version or the SDSx00E the Euro version.

They probably have not finished updating the Sentinel SDS100E program to also handle the SDS200E.
Fetch the file from the link below and put that in the firmware folder in the SD card and it should update the next time when you power on the scanner.

If you do not use sub processor firmware 1.02.01 then put also that file in the firmware folder.

When you connect the USB cable and select mass storage the SD card will appear as a drive if you hold down the windows button and hit the E key on the keyboard, or start windows explorer. Then copy the downloaded files to the firmware folder.
