Because my official equipment does not hear
#1 Local Police
#2 Local Ambulance
#3 Local Medical Helicopter
#4 Local State Police
I get a local jumps on MVA's and other EMS calls I run or I know that I have a large DELAY on an Ambulance making my scene. I care about he people that allow me to do my job and this is a tool that I use to my advantage.

When I was a cop we used scanners to cross talk with neighboring PDs and the EMTs. We needed scanners to do our job.

A Motorola Sabre was my prep back then, it went everywhere with me. The encryption set this radio a part from the regular preps.

As Whistler have not yeat handed over a scanner for FCC to test it means that Uniden are at least one month ahead of having their scanner released.
I'm sure there are many on the forum who are very familiar with the FCC licensing requirements, but I thought that since the FCC gave TCB's the authority to certify devices that they test directly, the historical delay between FCC filing appearing a product release is now gone.
ie, Company X hires an accredited testing lab to test and certify their product, and upon passing, the testing lab uploads the relevant documents to the FCC and the device is considered "approved".

I'm hoping for advanced info on conventional DMR frequencies, such as the TGID, Color Code, TDMA Slot and Radio ID, instead of how the 436 only displays Color Code and TDMA slot

The SDS100 does all that you hope for. We need to set the bar higher than what the SDS100 can do. ;)

Note that the suite is by appt only, and appts are with distributors/retailers/suppliers, etc. No general public access. I plan to take the embargo off of the SDS200 details Thursday morning. How early Thursday depends on how late Wednesday ends up being (or how bad this so far mild upper respiratory bug does or does not become).

You would think by now you would have learned not to put a date or time on anything. If you don't announce something by noon on Thursday, the members will be calling for a lynching.
