1.07.. on my psr 300

do you have programming software or you doing it manually ? butel?

there are links on this page to follow also. GRE Radios - The RadioReference Wiki, to make sure you are set up for the new frequencies. but you should be able to hear it with 1.07 i believe. i have a psr600 also. and i use the butel software for it just because its way easier.

Sounds like all the changes are complete. Do I still need to use the site system band plan for SF anymore? Do I need to plug in all voice and control frequencies or do I just plug in the control frequencies only?

I want to think that its done too. However every morning so far , very early the CC has changed to something else lol. Im going to keep all the voice channels in there for a few days to be sure, i think with all of us constantly checking into this, we will be FOR SURE on all of this pretty quick.

Sounds like you've figured out the problem. This is a trunked system, so police and fire are not on specific frequencies. The system assigns a frequency to each trasmission, so conversations often jump between multiple frequencies. The noise you were hearing on 851.4250 was the control channel (data).

I dad miss one transmission on Friday while comparing the scanner to the radio. I might have been on driving in a bad spot but everything all the other transmissions worked on both radios.

851.1250 is the Base Station Identifier (BSI) channel. Heard morse code last night identifying WNXV207, which is their old license pending application for the rebanded frequencies. Their temporary license for the new frequencies is WPMI574.

That just leaves one outstanding frequency (858.2375). Has anyone running Unitrunker seen it?

Is the rebanding completed now does anyone know? Are there any more changes to be done, and are they still slated to move to 700megs eventually?
Thanks to mlangeveld, radiobern, and the group for all the updates. I have full copy on the city on the old bc785d especially thanks to mlangeveld's diligent chasing of control channels.
Just hoping it stays for a while.

You still need the custom band plan for the scanner to track the rebanded frequencies correctly. It should work with the control channels only.

It seems to be complete, unless they decide to add that last frequency. San Francisco does have a 700 MHz system in testing phase right now, but it will probably be some time before it's fully operational.

I'm curious, which scanner are you using that's been missing the transmissions?

SF County Rebanding Has Me Vexed!

I'm not the most frequency/scanner savvy. But I am hoping a patient scanner enthusiast would be willing to help me.

Some how I managed to successfully upgrade my Uniden BC246T Firmware to 2.60.00 last night. Then I was told by a friend to simply replace 866.225 with 851.425. And, to my surprise, it worked. Almost. I was still missing approximate;y 50% of the usual SFFD traffic. When I turned the scanner on today, I got nothing.

Could anyone help me out?

Thanks!
Aaron
