I am running a P25RX-II on a laptop with windows 11. I have noticed that the SIG indicator will turn green while receiving a signal, as it should, but will turn yellow while receiving a signal with audio but on the P25 device it always stays green. Is this something that’s just inherent with windows or is there another meaning. The device is set at LNA GAIN: 8% MIXER GAIN: Auto BB VGA GAIN: Auto HYSTERESIS: 6 dB

By the way, I have a 10 db gain on the P25II then I did on the P25 while connected to a discone antenna in the attic…..Fantastic!!!

Thank you for the update @W0RS! The yellow led indicator is bothering me too. I'm going to add some options for that. I did have it following the SIG indicator on the receiver, but another user wanted it to follow the SYNC status color in the Signal Insights tab. I'll make it programmable. With the current testing version of the firmware, then yellow indicator during voice indicates TDU / TDULC frames. (pauses in voice during a conversation). I'm glad to hear that the P25RX-II is working well for you with the discone!

What brand & model of Discone Antenna are you using for these wonderful receiving abilities & improvements? There are so many brands, makes & models out there in Discone Antennas.

I am using a MP antenna, wideband 25-6000Mhz. I believe I paid $159.00 for it from Antenna farm. I probably did not need to spend that much for a antenna that's not going outside but what it is, is....

Keep in mind that I am only about six or so miles as the crow flies from the simulcast system I monitor, I also sit on a ridge so my elevation is a little high.....
