I was going to look up some FCC info, but unfortunately their crap isn't working. They have like 100 holiday days off a year, presidential funeral days, and they can't manage to keep their databases online. I swear Lindsay (RadioReference) should offer to take over the damned FCC database system for them lol.I'm not sure if members are already tracking this, but I read a news article stating that a new public safety tower is going to be constructed near the Putnam-Mason line along Route 35. The article stated it would benefit both counties and Mason County is being requested to contribute six frequencies. Presumably, this is a new SIRN tower. Construction is slated to begin in March.
From Mason County (West Virginia) Commission honors law enforcement, reviews key projects
"Putnam County Emergency Management Director Mikyle White provided an update on the construction of a new 340-foot tower near the Mason-Putnam county line along Route 35. The $1.5 million project, funded by the Tower Assistance Fund, is expected to significantly enhance emergency services for both counties, as well as broadband, and likely cellular connectivity over time.
White explained that the tower will be owned by Putnam County, requiring no financial responsibility from Mason County. However, Putnam County has requested that Mason County contribute six frequencies to support the tower's operation. Construction is expected to begin in March."
