...and now it would appear that Ohio County has completely revamped the talkgroup assignments for the county fire departments and has now moved to a tac channel assignment response for the VFDs just as the City of Wheeling does and also appears that they are doing so using the same assignment format as Wheeling (ie:.tac 3 for medical, tac 1 for fire...

All i can say at this point is that this all started today at midnight and thus far I have only heard West Liberty using TG 2186 as their company's private tac... and also when Valley Grove was dispatched to a medical call they were assigned Tac 3 at tone out and soon showed up on TG 2125- which since OC Fire joined the system has been active as "Mozart Fire" but is apparently now OC FIRE TAC3

Also On Saturday I got several wildcard hits and some voice but no actual talking on TGs 2180 and 2181 which according to a friendly little document I once saw would be Bethlehem fire and Clearview fire respectively...
This switch, if permanent, might finally solve the mystery of Wheeling Fire Tac 4 which the local DB admins are all too familiar with but we will see because if 2125 is now OC tac 3 then it still does not match up with most of the other counties in the Great State of WV which use TG xx37 as county fire tac 3... ok its late, I'm goin to sleep... I probably have made no sense in my above writing but unless i am simply hallucinating, something is happening with Ohio County Talkgroups ...

Yes wheeling is totally on SIRN. They took 800 mhz radios out of the trucks and stations

Thank you for the clarification. I made some changes to the main Ohio County db page to reflect the fact that they are no longer using the Wheeling City trunked system.

I think some people said that city services are still on the old system. Are you able to confirm if that is the case? I'm referring to Sanitation, OVRTA, Engineering, Water Dept, Pollution Control, Animal Control, etc.

I can confirm this as I just heard Wheeling Medical Park on 9999. Unfortunately I didn't catch which squad was involved in the conversation.

Well here we go, just a short time ago I heard Wheeling Medical Park working an ambulance on TGID 9997.

Unfortunately it was breaking up here as I was getting the transmission from one of the Ohio County Towers and since they're simulcast (or at least that's what I think) I can't tell which tower I'm hearing. As you see in the quoted message above, just recently I heard them (as did others) on TGID 9999.

If I think fast enough, next time I hear Wheeling Hospital I'll try to catch the frequency in addition to the TGID.

Grrrrrr!

Just thought I'd note that earlier today, off the Ohio County towers, I heard a couple long key ups (but no actual voice) on talkgroup 2133 which for most counties using this system is county fire tac 1 so now I am wondering what that might be all about...
I have all 100 21xx channels programmed into a pro197 that stays on 24/7 and according to my hit counter these are the first ever hits on this channel so correct me if i am wrong but I am assuming that this means that 2133 must be programmed into someones radio..?

I'd have to say that is correct cuz i heard a request for all tankers to go to that specific channel and 2410 is the TG that instantly popped up...

You got any idea what it is that is burning down there? all I heard was that it was a commercial building...

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to enter custom tables for that scanner. You would if you were programming the older PRO-2096 or PRO-96. Without custom tables, P-25 Auto would be your choice. If you keep the custom table, I'm not 100% sure of the answer. Probably choose Custom, but I'm hesitant to say for sure.

That is correct, as long as he sets the system type as "P25 Auto"

Ridge Site - Hamspire Co.

I can receive the CC enough to use Unitrunker to get the TGs and UIDs in use on that site. I was mostly interested in the the WVSP TG 9007 but I see a lot of traffic for Morgan, Mineral, Hampshire, and Hardy Co. and not a lot or consistent traffic for 9007. I have ordered a 450MHz yagi and some LMR400 to see if I can receive it enough to actually listen to it.

Anyone know what the deal is with TG 9007? I see it some on that tower but never on the Martinsburg or Kearneysville Site 1; only 9005. I can't receive any other towers (well, Mt. Weather but I've never seen any traffic on it) to tell if TG 9007 is as active as 9005.
