I was able to get it off my big antenna and Spyserver:
Site 3.5
NAC 170
NL 3.1, 3.6
453.425 CC
460.6125 SCC
460.475 BSI WQOX971

Odd.
460.6125 is not licensed in hancock/brooke anywhere

I can't even pick the site up from bloomingdale and Triconnex Weirton comes in S40

Any chance you transposed numbers there chief?

I cant check anything... Ohio Co simulcast is acting up again... I think the tower behind OVMC just got zapped a few times by the very powerful electrical storm that is passing through so at this time I cant any p25 signal at all from Ohio County.

You too, huh? I haven't hear a thing either. Brooke seems to still be using analogue for the most part from what it looks to me.

The Weirton site might be directional, it is unusually low signal compared to other signals I decode without issue from that area.

The numbers are solid. Either the tech configuring the system screwed up or something we don't know yet. Just like the Scenery Hill site on the PA-STARNet P25 system, 159.3325 vs 159.3225 on the license. Scenery Hill (WASH49) Site Details (PA-STARNet P25: Pennsylvania Statewide Radio Network)

In case it may be of interest to any of you upper ohio valley folk, I copied and pasted the entries that pertain to the northern panhandle area from the SIRN SIEC meeting minutes 3/19 through 5/20....

Some info from the August SIRN SIEC meeting minutes --

Powhattan tower site is now on the air and incorporated into the Z3 Simulcast Cell

o Moundsville site has been absorbed into the simulcast system in Zone 3. Operational and reported working well.

o Weirton antenna and feed line installation is complete. Racks have all be delivered and installed in the site. The building was not wired electrically with what was needed to power up the racks and SIRN techs will be completing the electrical wiring on 8/11. Motorola is on stand-by to optimize the site as soon as the site is powered up to finalize the install and config.

Very nice. Thanks for doing that, Mylan. I have read each month's SIEC minutes, but over time I obvious miss a lot of context.

So they are using directional antennas in Weirton. And Moundsville (Grandview Park Rd - aka "Grandview") and Powhatan are now part of the simulcast. That does explain why 3-002 Moundsville has not been online as of late and why nobody can pick up Powhatan on its own licensed freqs.

The question now is -- Do we remove 3-002 Moundsville from the DB or do we wait a while "just in case". I'll vote for the latter.

I remvoed 3-002 Moundsville from the DB and added the old site details to the Wiki. Thanks

This one was sort of funny:

Logan Co – Dave Saffel received a call last week that a DMR system is being installed for Fire, EMS, and Law and was compatible with SIRN; David Neal will reach out to the county.

A DMR system "compatible" with SIRN? I suspect they are putting up a 450 mHz DMR system in Logan that is compatible "in the sense" that it's radios may have P25 support built in along with the DMR capabilities.

I wonder if they're getting such a system due to WVSIRN coverage gaps. I suspect this is the license for it: FCC Callsign WRJC390 (PACKIT TECHNOLOGIES)

Hello,

I provide a feed for Brooke County. I've heard that the EMS has switched over to SIRN. I'm assuming that other services will soon follow. I currently have a BCT15X. It doesn't support the digital trunking used by SIRN. I'll need to get a new scanner. From what I've read it seems that I need a P25 digital system with digital multi-site or digital simulcast. I know nothing about digital trunking scanners. Can anyone here give me a suggestion for what scanner features that I'll need to receive the new system? Possibly some specific models that work with SIRN?
