Site 3.6 (Beaver Falls, PA) has been showing neighbor site 3.1 in the red on DSD+ for a couple days. It said failed,isolated previously with a couple CC freq changes but now has no extra comment yet still shows red. When going to site 3.1 (Ohio County Simulcast) the site seems fine but no longer shows 3.6 as a neighbor. A facebook post suggested that sites were being upgraded to a new major software version, perhaps in preparation for phase 2.

Did they forget about the lonely far north site residing in another state?

Regarding your comment about sites being upgraded, Marion County was doing upgrades to their sites on Wednesday between 12:30 and 1:30. Units were having trouble talking to each other during it and for some time afterwards. Seemed like they were only able to hear dispatch. Units were also saying their radios were showing "Trunking" on the screens. Sounded like everything was fine again on Thursday and today.

Heard this afternoon in Jefferson County. On Jeff Law TG 1507, I heard a unit marking up as Federal Officer 383 who had pulled over to assist a disabled motorist on Route 9 and requested local PD assistance. His radio id was 81251. I've never heard any radio traffic from a federal officer on Jeff Law and have never seen a radio id in that range on the system. Maybe a Federal Marshal, since they do have TG's on the system and can be heard here serving warrants and checking on home confinement convicts? Any ideas?

So.. While working tonight there was this extremely strange voice that came across the Fayette County SO Dispatch talkgroup.. I figured it was the radio techs as I know sometimes they'll use predefined speeches or read short paragraphs to test audio among other things, atleast back in Texas we do that. But after about a minute of talking the units and dispatcher got on and were all extremely confused by what they had just heard.

Anybody have any ideas? Here is a video of it:

That seems like either a predefined paragraph for an audio or signal test, intentionally structured to include specific syllables/sounds/tones. Or someone was up to no good doing something they shouldn't. It's definitely not accidental, it's too clear and concise.

I haven't seen any other RID's close to that range and with full-time encryption it is probably Feds but that is just a guess.

Sounds like a Homeland Security Federal Protective Service unit.

Just a update on Brooke Co. switching to SIRN. Sounds like they are getting close to lighting up the Weirton tower hopefully within the next week or two it should be on. Brooke Co. Sheriff's have been using it more since they have the coverage in the county with mobiles but they need the the North tower (Weirton tower) online for the portables to work

I've heard them still using their old dispatch frequencies because one of them said they were getting better coverage with it, beyond that, I don't know although I have SIRN in my BCD325P2 ready to go. I'm in southern Jefferson County, OH

Moundsville site went isolated on DSD PLUS with Ohio County as a peer on Tuesday. It seems like Moundsville is down. I just checked and it appears to be off line still.
@n8jsw has been also checking and he has not seen them on line also.

Beaver has not been a peer/neighbor with Ohio for long time now.

Could it be possible that Moundsville has now joined the Ohio Co simulcast? I cant remember how to diagnose the technicals but as of yesterday I am getting solid simulcast distortion on all my pro197/1065 radios at my location in Wheeling and have never had any issues with distortion at my base location..

Well it might be cause Moundsville has been off the air for a week or two so it hard to tell if the Moundsville site is done or just having issues

I haven't received Wheeling Police for the last day or two, did they change something in the system?
