You want until all sites for that district are up and operating then the radio techs will do site testing
Nothing here yet either. Not heard anything from the Richmond site yet
More specifically, scannerboy, what do you imagine it might be like? The short answer
Just like any other Trunking System in the United States.
Also just like the KSP System now that has 6 A and 6 B Sites in West Ky. You will not know where the user is unless they State where they are.
I'm holding my breath on this one.there will be some counties that will cough up the money l bet.i wonder how many counties will drink the communal kool-Aid and go with AT&T firstnet for a cheeper price I know they are pushing it hard I seen where southern linc has got a lot of departments joining their LTE system that replaced iden down south
No doubt.I'm holding my breath on this one.
Seriously, AT&T firstnet, while good for some things, just won't cut the mustard for routine public safety two way communications. (I'm a firstnet user in my public safety capacity).
The primary reason, at least for fire service purposes, the control knobs on an iPhone are not friendly to gloved hands. So this won't meet NFPA requirements. Probably some other reasons too such as not being intrinsically safe, no failsoft provisions, its hard for the PSAP to monitor the system for integrity, NFPA doesn't recognize systems that are not under control of the agency (for those who care about such things).
Nope…I wonder the dot and forestry is going to be on the new system and the emergency management
