I have been told that KSP has some talkgroups on the NKY system. I haven't heard them or noticed them. Have you caught anything?
They might have access to some but I don't show any on my Talkgroup Matrix. Almost all NKYRCS Talkgroups are listed on the RR DB.

Other than multiple hits on talk groups in the 600xx range everything else I have seen on the NKY RCS lines up with Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties.

Can anyone around the Elizabethtown area give a listen in the 700/800 MHz band and see if they can find something new?

I know I'm a ways from Elizabethtown, but I thought I'd throw my 2¢ in.

I had go to Murray Kentucky today and while I was in town I spent about an hour near the 'fine arts bldg' that is supposed to be the transmitter site for the new KSP system.

I got absolutely nothing while searching, or on close call.

I'll do a survey again next time I go into that area and report what I find, or don't find.

That is NOT! KSP. That would be Zone 4, Site 24 on the TACN system, Its the Paris (Henry County) tower.

You're right. The link you provided is TACN. That, in itself, does not validate your claim. Someone from Galvaston could make the same claim as you and post a link to a Texas TRS and their claim would be just as invalid as yours.

I'll leave it to locals to confirm or debunk my findings.

Maybe you get your way by screaming, but it does not lend credence to your statement nor contribute to a healthy discussion. Ever.

Since you want a healthy discussion, @RIVER_5 is correct. Hopkins County Kentucky isn't that far from the TN sites that he is referring to. Also, if you look at the system ID, 2A5, it is the system of the TACN system. Also, the site numbers and RFSS match up with that site as well. Therefore, that site you found is not part of the new KY TRS system. From your post saying it was intermittent, that meant that it was probably close to being out of range.

Agree to disagree with you.
My site lies between Henry and Hopkins counties and is unable to receive TACN on any of the area UHF sites. The VHF site in Stewart county is the only one I'm able to receive.

I agree that there is a high probability that what was received was TACN. I took issue with the all caps, exclamation mark, declarative statement used. In my line of work I don't ignore possibilities just because a higher probability exists.

Apart from all of that, I haven't received that signal since the initial reception and no one locally has reported activity on that site.
