SAM 46 off Pease heading direct EMJAY now but just requested hold at RIFLE

Maybe I will get lucky with clear skies to get a photo of the C32A (I used to handle the wheels and brakes for the blue and white C32A aircraft based at Andrews too). Sure do miss that part of working.

AF1 heading down the coast - tracking about 5-10 miles left of flight route. Sun angle making it difficult to take any photos unfortunately.

13:19 EST on with Washington Center 127.700 Sea Isle RCAG

Saw them visually - but to close to sun at that angle to take pictures.

Just noticed there are four E-6Bs currently airborne and sure enough the HF freqs are active.
Several messages between 14:30 and 15:00 (pre-launch)
AE040D, from Pax, was the first E-6 to launch, followed by AE0419 and then AE0415 (both from Tinker) then AE0416 from Travis

Few messages but with multiple repeats as normal since then
All 30 character messages and none specifically addressed.

Using KIWI SDR in Westminster MD.
11175.0 USB
Starting at 2134Z, HF-GCS stn Nicholson (sounds like) w/string of EAMs 47OOCY (30 character-repeated), 477UTF (terminated then repeated), 47PMDV (30 character), 47RWBI (30 character)
Nicholson has very heavy echo in xmitter.
I heard the echo is because receiver is picking up the broadcast from multi locations from long distances
so signal arrives at slightly different times giving it that audio echo sound.Would be nice if they used a tone PL type code
where you could filter out some stations :)

Off topic but my Black Friday purchase was a new wx station for my home qth.
Ham radio friend recommended it so with years here of bad luck with cheap Accurite and pricey large Davis wx stations gave this
one a shot.. Easy setup and so far so good. No moving parts like my other old wx stations so am hopeful.Moving parts become bug/leaf clogged etc.
Great app for cellphone so can easily see wx /lightning strikes etc at your home when your not there and on the web and now 20% off.
Check it out here.

Congrats on the new weather station. Yeah some of the ones out there are not built so well. Both the PA and the NJ locations for me have Davis VantagePro 2 systems. The one here has been active since 2012 (with only one interruption for unit overhaul back to new condition). I did that since the weather here is a bit harder on components. The unit at the PA site has been online for longer than I remember with no removals for maintenance. The Davis units are more expensive but I wanted the quality of a professional system. Davis tech support is great as well - you actually talk to a technician who works on the units and knows how to troubleshoot over the phone.

Tempest wx station sites getting popular.. didn't realize how many were out there.. Course one knock I see already
is Barometric pressures seem to be wildy offscale even in same areas.. hmm.
