Would think their compact size makes them popular. Having several antennas on the roof for me - another unit like a weather station is not much of an eyesore. For a home owner who wants just weather data - they are a good choice.

Could be comm equipment or other services equipment since it is a bit more of an isolated location - who know might even be a ground to air missile battery. Code report on inbound flight will be interesting to see if anything is unusual onboard.
Following it - probably headed to Jacksonville - which will confirm your information. My ADS-B data shows it as a previously logged P8A.
