Wonder why USAF acft of out Offutt is " Go Army"
Because it's not a USAF aircraft, wasn't out of Offutt, it was launched by hand in US Army Yuma Proving Ground on 15 June, it's US Army being tested largely at the Yuma Proving Ground. Zephyr flies at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground— and beyond , Drone technology achieves new heights at Yuma Proving Ground and according to this article, by the APNT/Space CFT(Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing/Space Cross-Functional Team) office, which is part of Army Futures Command. I haven't found an official statement saying how involved the Army is, but if you have a facebook account, you can go to the US Army Yuma Proving Ground page Facebook and search for zephyr to find some pics and Army posted material. Also, my response to Mark's post, Sticky Thread For Mid-Atlantic MilAir 2022 has more info on the drone and its history. ;-)

09-0016 is showing up on ADS-C satcom as SAM 13, possibly the contingency ID for the 'third plane' that used to fly as SAM 18.

They are told to re-enter the ID as SAM 509 since that is how they are filed with air traffic control.

This C-17 took off in a thunderstorm out of PHL just after 4:30 this afternoon on a very short flight to Andrews...
Nice catch.. I think that was TEDDY-52 C-17 #00-0184 after quick stop at Andrews now headed South.
Pittsburgh based 911 AW tail.

2020 local GRIM-99 E-4B #74-0787 coming Southwest thru Nova Scotia tanking with two KC-135's after Souda Bay Greece stop.
It hit couple tankers off the UK earlier.
They usually press on to Offutt after overseas missions like this but sometimes stop at Andrews.

VIP in Atlantic City Monday.. 2/3970 NOTAM Details (faa.gov)

ZULU-82 US Army/Airbus UAV pushing the envelope out in Arizona showing at FL670.
Not much air up at that altitude.Figure a drop when sun goes down out there.
Rare when even a U-2 pilot may ask..who is that above me? :)
