I heard DeeCee 93 flt leave Andrews around 1135 EST. At same time I also heard 2 DC ANG F-16s on 143,15 but they didn't use any callsigns nor did they say they were with anyone else. Might have been them is the time slot is correct.

Yep that sounds like the right time. Will be adding 143.15 to my list. Thanks.

Guys,

Looks like our friend Speilberg is out and about again today. I have Scan 84 (Dash 8 N984HA) working on 123.225 with Vader TC (ground stn). Vader TC advising Scan 84 that Speilberg is stationary at this time and they have comms with him on another channel with what sounded like Outlook.

Speilberg apparently in a moving vehicle

Watching at least one, maybe two T-38C's circling off of PAX on radar box. No comms I'm probably too far.

0934 EST- CG Sector Baltimore-comms (157.15) w/CG 49428 (CG Stn Curtis Bay MD) advising there is a scheduled outage of Rescue 21 System this afternoon. VHF comms could be affected.

FYI, Sector Baltimore has been renamed Sector Maryland - National Capital Region

Thanks for info. But they are still using CG Sector Baltimore on the radio--I guess the new title is too long.

It is a mouthful - I expect it to be shortened in use to "Sector Maryland" once everyone gets used to the change - much like Sector Delaware Bay is shortened to "Sector DelBay."

That would be an awful initial contact without shortening. Imagine that crud...

"Coast Guard Sector Maryland National Capital Region, Coast Guard Sector Maryland National Capital Region, Coast Guard Sector Maryland National Capital Region, this is Coast Guard 47312 on CG111, over."

Probably a reasonable expectation ;)

Round and round he goes

Starting in the fall of 2014 I've noticed various C208's circling the Martinsburg area (usually passing over my house, maybe it's time for a tin-foil hat??), today he's 10 miles north of me. They're registered as owned by Falcon Air Service of Hagerstown MD. Attached are two screenshots, the first from 0928 this morning and the second from 1348 this afternoon. Not all that far from SNC at KHGR.

Falcon Air Services has at least two Caravans, as well as other smaller aircraft. The Caravans suggest a sizable payload vs. other aircraft in their fleet. The centroid of the track is over I-83 near Hainesville, WV, an area similar to other light industrial areas that crop up along interstates. Interestingly, there is a USCG and VA IT facilities (coincidentally?) almost in the center of that pattern.

Guys,

A couple of DHS fixed wings operating over the DC area today. Had one w/PTC (118.95) around 0900 saying they would be on station until 1300. Then on 136.275 they asked Base if the " afternoon shift" could get on station by 1300. Just had an acft check in w/PTC (125.65) saying they were on station for the afternoon.

Have these two who might fit the bill:

1306 EST- Idaho 92 (unid DEA)-w/PTC (118.95) advising they will be around this location for awhile
1307 EST- Limo 213 (poss Dash 8 #N721AL FBI Manassas VA)-w/PTC (1189.5) advising they are on station.

Idaho 92 might be N632MR. According to tracking site he's playing around at 5000 ft between Fairfax & Springfield VA.

IDAHO92 is N2092S
N721AL is JENA126
N622FH was active early, is probably LIMO213
N728MP was active starting around 1000. Should be LIMO203
N632MR was active at 1245.
