Anybody follow the Atlantic City airshow today?

Looks like one performer on the way home currently. N104MX (still using former code for N181RU). Registered to South Riding, VA. I'm wondering if he's heading to KJYO. Earlier I did hear someone getting a clearance from KACY to KJYO. N540JH was another MXS that was there.

Midday I saw AE542B showing "11" doing 362kts @1400 ft near KACY. While landing it sounded like "DOUBLE11". A USMC MV-22 was scheduled for the show around this time. Later I clearly heard an ELVIS11 departing. Helicopter-like noise in the background. Never saw AE542B show up again on adsbexchange.

WARDOG1 flight of two from MTN included 79-0120

362kts at essentially SL is pretty damn fast for a -22... maybe it had a 100kt tailwind?

1538 local EMPIRE 11 flight of 2 headed home to Oceana I presume.
Assume they were F/18F demo and backup.

Not much on tape here today.. No Heavy flybys in show like C-5M or C-17 or KC-10
or Bombers.. Guess they are all to busy these days.. Mostly State of NJ show and NJ ANG.
I'm sure all the Medevac chopper flybys had crowd on edge..LOL

Yes logged (AE5C92) CROOK29 here today finally as well.. History shows as new tail since June.
Confusing all the MC-12 variants the Army is working on with L-3,Boeing,Sierra Nevada etc..
Seems we have 4 types the Army is prototyping for eventual 24 of these types
L-3 Reports First Flight of Emarss-M Prototype for U.S. Army | Defense News: Aviation International News

Emarss-M First Test bird down at L-3 Texas converted from the MC-12W for 8 total.
Emarss-S Four total Boeing mod
Emarss-V Four total Northrop Grumman mod
Emarss-G Eight total Sierra Nevada/L3 mod?

Ron's M1 seems to be the M type converted from MC-12W but the CROOK29 may be another type.
Name "Liberty" was USAF MC-12W type when they owned them before turning them over to the Army.
No more Liberty MC-12's.All US Army show now :)

I wonder if N65FM (FM-65) and N164FM (FM-64) could be some of the new activity. I logged both on July 15.
Adsbexchange shows the last activity for N164FM as a flight from Kansas to MD on July 15.

These are new planes with certificates issued in January.

Another new one to watch is N166FM FM-66 which is still registered to Textron and no cert date yet.

An L-3 registered one that hasn't shown up in a while is N352BC FL-463. http://www.jetphotos.net/photo/7182344
Could it have a mil hex now?

CROOK29 is active this morning orbiting just west of HGR. I noted another post on CROOK29 here - http://forums.radioreference.com/mi...maryland-pennsylvania-border.html#post2629410

Mark,

I thought the VX-9 bird was a strange one to be up this way. It too maybe from Oceana?

Now that you mention it on that day a couple of times I heard a female voice ident as ???U (never could hear it correctly) on w/ZDC Snow Hill (132.55) get a flt clearance to Oceana. Must've been the VFA-106 bird

The VFA-106 T-45 seems like squad aggressor trainer with that Red star on it..
T-45 Goshawks rare around here as most train down in NAS Kingsville Texas or Meridian Miss.but these two seem like odd test squad exceptions also without normal red/white paint schemes.

This morning heard TEAM 63 KC-10 with McGuire CP coming South looking for Raven 1-4 flight.
Guess our local A-10's getting some KC-10 boom practices for upcoming deployment next Month.
They sure have been busy training lately.

Those aren't T-45s. They're private L-39Cs. N55107 and N150XX

Interesting that they can have Navy logos like VX-9 and VFA-106 on private planes..
Thanks for clearing these up..
Aircraft N150XX (1980 Aero L-39C Albatros C/N 031617) Photo by Florida Metal (Photo ID: AC1206545)
You can just see real tail number N150XX under rear tail wing.
Yup in better close up pics you can see real tail ID.. Had me going but am not Navy expert for sure.. Good eyes there Hop.

Morning all and you to Ron. ;-)

267.350 is a known US Army SASS Grisly Hunter Project frequency in the mid-Atlantic region (MD/VA), though it is assigned to the USN/USMC nationwide.

Recently another Mode-S hex code AE5C8E has been seen using the Mode-S call Grizly 78 out in Arizona. One possible tie up has it as 15-00338 a US Army RO-6A (Dash-8 variant) that may also be part of the Grisly Hunter project. Two other aircraft have also been spotted in Tucson 50048 and 500558. Take that with all the EMARSS activity being seen in your area and down the coast at Hunter AAF and it looks like the Army is ramping up some fixed wing air recon assets.

Good article on all that on the FAS.org website at Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL)

Yes have logged the Grzlys a few times..Always come up as Army DH8C Dash 8 types.
The older ones still flying with Civy reg under Dynamic Aviation Lease mainly overseas.
Rarely hang around here in Mid-Atlantic.
US Army supposed to have 6 more in the pipeline..prob the (AE5C8E) #15-0038 is one of them.
US Army To Get Six DHC-8 Aircrafts

Yea, Army fixed wing aviation and studying them using ADS-B can be interesting but problematic and challenging. I do love a challenge.

And thanks Mark for the heads up above. Got the 436 up, running and scanning using my Milair favorite list this morning. If they move through here the old chief will hear them. ;-)
