Mark,

In the past I've heard local CAP acft use the Pard ## callsign. Usually when doing touch & go's at Andrews or Martin State.

Guys,

Was up near Martin State this morning doing a little fishing. Around 1150 EDT two Blue Angels took off side by side. What a noise---beautiful.

They took off too low and fast for me to get a picture. They were working on 270.35 mapping landmarks.

Score 61 has been working all afternoon on 264.55 in some sort of test flight. ADS-B showing a KC-130J # 166381 orbiting around the Smith/Tangier/Bloodsworth Islands area at around 9,500 ft. Alt hasn't changed much all afternoon so I'm thinking this is the acft working on 264.55.

Early in the test the acft was asking grnd ctrl is he could hear their xmitters working in different bands. There was a mention of an L-band (1-2 GHz) xmitter.

1030am local SD-123 was up ZDC 257.700 self id as F/18 doing "VFR route around R-4006 and will be to almost Dover". Maybe a chase plane for the ASCOT?

1105 am local had ASCOT 9714 "from Dover at 6k" UHF then cleared to 12k
and over to ZDC Swann 134.500 so seems westbound from Dover.
No mode s so assume a RAF F-35B type..

Saw BOBBY 91 coming back in earlier. He was part of that Coronet flight earlier in the week with BOBBY 01.
1900 local, have two T-6B TEX 1 & TEX 2 off the NJ coast headed out over Long Island towards CT. Rare visitors up this way.

Multi-agency maritime exercises to take place in Delaware Bay
PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New Jersey and Delaware State Police, and other maritime security stakeholders will conduct multiple exercises in the mouth of the Delaware Bay October 17 – 22, 2016.

The exercises will involve specialized teams and tactics using both small vessels and aircraft. No live-firing of weapons will take place during the exercise.

The Coast Guard will conduct safety broadcasts on marine VHF channel 16 while exercises are in progress for the awareness and safety of the maritime community. Recreational and commercial vessel traffic will not be impacted.

The Coast Guard’s Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) homeported in Chesapeake, Virginia, will conduct the maritime exercises. The MSRT is the Coast Guard’s advanced law enforcement interdiction team, providing a unique level of support for the Delaware Bay region in an event of national significance. In the past, they have provided security support for such events as the Super Bowl, the Republican National Convention, and the Papal visit in 2015.

For further information, contact the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay public affairs officer: Lt. Michael Lewis (215) 778-5843.
