The Italians were seen leaving Lajes with 2 C130, 2 KC-767, 2 Eurofighters and the F35. 1 KC767 went into Pease. The other continued to PAX.

62-4216 isnt a valid serial? Could it be 62-4126?

1430 EST-- IAM 1412 (Italian AF KC-767 16th Wing)-depart PAX (133.9). ADS-B shows heading north northwest.

I find it odd that Italians are operationally flying the KC-767 before our own USAF does

Apparently the 2 130's also went to into Pease. IAM 4675,4676 and 1411 left today at roughly 1300 local

The C-130s were providing SAR for the overwater segment, and possibly supporting the Eurofighters for the Red Flag type exercise at Pease.

There are significant differences between the KC-767s and the KC-46. Different engines, flight deck, boom, fuel carriage (KC-46 carries 40K more,) fuel flow (KC-46 is higher,) and the big one: the KC-767 is more COTS, and the KC-46 is being built to USAF standards and redundancies - which is causing lots of unexpected delays. Of course one could ask why Boeing wasn't prepared for that...

Ref to the KC-767
Interesting findings from Wikipedia:
"The tanker was developed for the Italian and Japanese air forces, who ordered four tankers each".
Currently users: Italy AF, Japan AF, Columbia AF and Brazil AF

1658 was DAWG 91 a C130 from Savannah. DAWG 01 C130 from Colorado landed with the A10s at 1540.

78-0707 shows as a ID ANG A-10 which is odd.

Quite a busy Saturday. Someone in VA caught CG2001 overhead. I logged it between 1000-1115.

Slow start today, just a single C-130 across the whole country.
But an Emirates A380 is just now landing at Dulles. I think that's a first. Until now it's just been the Air France and British Airways A380s. Hopefully I can be a better look when it leaves around 1030.

0840- Couple of KFIR-C2s from ATAC heading west from Langley area. N406AX and N403AX
Seems to be a bit of a mode-s coverage hole down that way. It didn't show on the flight trackers until it reached FL270

sorry belated; anyone catch action on 354.8 Tue/Wed night?
I was getting signal on 156.8, aka Coast Guard Emergency. Not sure if some kind of refraction, or accidental simulcast (I'm sure these planes have marine channels on their gear).
Did not hear same the next night. one time thing.
