1500 - 1503 local -- visual on 2 CH-53's heading 060 at about 2000' (that would be almost direct to the Guard Dog bullseye from the location I observed them from)
1509-1510 -- most likely the same CH-53's passed directly over my office on a direct heading for 26 at Martinsburg.

Sorry no comms as I was crossing the parking lot at work. Mainly mentioned this as it's fairly rare to have that large a helo in my area. Maybe somebody heard them?

Ron, I mentioned this at the beginning of the CAP in a message above. Their ID at the beginning was just 366th Fighter Wing and I didn't know which squadron they were from. I added the info when I heard the same reply you did. Very early during the first refueling of BOAR 33/34, they mentioned they were from Mountain Home AFB in response to the tanker asking if they were a Guard unit. They've also confirmed they are operating out of Langley for this mission.

Not sure where they'll be recovering since, as far as I know, Charleston has been emptied out. I understand they're going to both Wright Patterson AFB and Whiteman AFB.

The 437th AW has had the THUG mission since August 26th. The 62nd AW had it from July 11 through August 20th and before that it was the 305th AMW McGuire with that mission. During each unit's turn, they seem to fly every 3-4 days.

Brutus working all afternoon on 320.6 & 271.0. No fighters noted--just appears ro be Brutus sending tracking data to Huntress and Northern Lights.

Int the 1300-1400 hour EDT had Lobo 42 & 43 (F-16s, SD ANG deployed to Langley) in DC CAP then they departed and were replaced by Cosmic 43 & 44 from the NJ ANG at Atlantic City.
