There's an FBI Cessna 206 up this morning displaying the wrong hex code for those of you with Mode-S receivers. It's showing A34193 but should be A89A9D, registration N65327. It's also displaying the callsign as "JENNA094" with that double-N again that I haven't seen in the past few weeks. I've been tracking it since 0840 (now 1019) at 5200 feet.

1018- Just had an A-10 (missed call) depart MTN and in deparure msg w/Raven Ops (347.2) he thanked everyone for their help. Sounded like he might have been a visitor heading back home.

Did anyone catch his callsign?

1033- Another A-10 departed MTN (347.2)--again I missed the callsign- He asked Raven Ops is he had heard anything more about a "spare". Then said that he would just keep it slow and try to catch up in Nashville.

Ron, I just turned on the radios (1024) and am hearing a COLT flight on ZDC-Blue Ridge 285.6 climbing (and SCARY w/ZDC-Kenton 354.15).
1026: German Air Force (GAF) 488 (C-160D, 50+87, LTG-63) calling McGuire CP (many times, no joy)...319.4 (Heard later w/ACY App 124.6 heading to WRI)
(And, for the first time ever, I'm hearing Dover Approach ground station on 132.425)
1030: RAVEN reporting now as a flight of three to RAVEN Ops and report off at 20 past the hour...asking about the spare...347.2
Sounds like they're using interflight freq 141.825...mention routing going through Westminster and Martinsburg.
1035: RAVEN leader mentions wanting the heading to Nashville...257 is the reply...hopes the rest of the guys are hungry since he ordered a BBQ in Nashville...141.825
1036: NJ-ANG working interflight freqs 138.425 and 138.875
1040: Sounds like a SPORT flight w/ZDC-Calvert...281.4
1045: Interflight freq 138.0 also active....SD LOBOs?
1046: Guys from 138.0 also w/ZDC-Irons reporting direct Langley...360.85
1050: More chat about Nashville, an hour there, and then having PPRs from McConnell...141.825
Lots of pilot/guy chat about nothing important also on the freq. Some instructions about how to use the onboard computer, scrolling menus, selecting certain items to get specific info, etc.
1058: Chat on 141.825 is starting to fade as they get out of range. Never did find them on ZDC/ZNY/ZOB UHF freqs. Were they using VHF on ATC?
1053: NJ F-16s heading home...w/ACY Approach reporting they'll be doing a full stop landing...327.125 (These are the guys from 138.875)

1100: DEVIL 11 flight (138.425) w/ZDC-Casino as they head home...285.4
1106: A bit more chat from the RAVEN flight on 141.825 at this time but too weak to understand. They've got to be way out there by now.

Many, many freqs active on a very busy day. Wish I could stay and listen to more of it but have to run.

There's also a Canadian Forces CC-144 crossing the area at FL 360...flight CFC (Canforce) 3701, 144618 from 412 Squadron. Up since 1016. (Track drops at 1055 - out of range)

Ref below: Heard SPLASH 2 also on 121.8 MTN Ground. Definitely helo but don't know his affiliation.
Didn't pass overhead my house Mark. :)

1025 Heard what sounds like SPLASH-2 with Martin Tower 121.300 at 1000 feet outbound.
New callsign to me.Helo of some type I believe.
1035 SPLASH 2 push 119.700
1036 SPLASH-2 self id as UH-1 enroute DC via BWI.
1037 SPLASH-2 up on 119.400 looking for route 171 sounded like.
Maybe you can eyeball this one Alan if it comes your way..
1044 119.400 SPLASH-2 says will be later heading to Davison AAF for a couple days work
but today just doing a down and back.

There was an article a while back (found it: http://www.nwanews.com/adg/National/248254) about the AF moving a lot of it's C model A-10s to Maryland, to consolodate for training pilots because of the wing crack issue with the A-10s and i either heard or read somewhere that for example, Ft. Smith Arkansas had a few of their A-10s there.....could be anyone really, but they definitley have visitors right now. Be interesting if anyone else caught it.

1026- Hearing Bangor flights on 138.425 talking about making runs on tanks. Also Devil 1 and 2 sounds like Devil 2 in a rookie talking about baby steps. LOL Also heard Scary flights up.
1056- Sounds like Rouge 1 talking to Viking 1 on 312.3000 Staying above 20,000ft sounds if they have their masks on.

121st Aux freq

Guys,

This morning heard couple of DC ANG F-16s on 139.15 mention going over to Aux 125.7. I tuned to that freq but heard nothing.

Anyone else hear this or have heard them use this freq before? I know they used to have 125.125 as one of their VHF freqs but they gave that up.

In the late 1100 hour did hear a couple of weak, ftr-type xmission on 125.7 so looks like viable DC ANG freq.

Intreresting

Guys,

At 1132 EST one of the local news helos (Chnl 11) was chatting with Phillips AAF tower (126.15). In chat he mentioned that the Customs folks had deployed 2 AB139s, 2 TC-12s, 1 Blackhawk (UH-6), and one other acft (missed designator) at Martin State in prep for the Obama-Biden train trip and the inauguration.

He said that they have imposed an no-fly TFR on Sat from Philly all the way down to DC so they will not be able to film it live.

Nice catch on that one Ron. I know I've logged both an AB139 and a TC-12 from Customs in the past couple of days. Those TFRs published by the FAA do cover the entire train route from Philly onward. However, they only restrict flights below 3,000 feet so I'm not sure they will turn away news coverage from the air. The restricted corridor is 3 miles wide. Most news organizations have cameras that should get very good photos and/or video from above or outside the restricted area. Of course, we're talking about B-more's Channel 11 here so maybe not. They still use Polaroids for news photos.

Yes a long Saturday train trip with those stops in Wilmington 1pm,Balt 3-4PM.
Looks like they chartered private Penn cars but with Amtrak Loco power.
Probably run a decoy/security train ahead of it.
Better load up on the low altitude freqs on radios.. :)

1230 311.000 sounds like stuck/open mike for quite a while.There is a Pittsburgh ANG KC-135
thru the area, maybe it is him.

Tin,

Had Omaha 3PC operating with PTC (128.35) down over the Chesapeake Bay tbetwen 8,500 & 10,500 ft then got cleared back to MTN. So he's probably one of the TC-12s.

STEW-18 E-4B 73-1677 departed to the west. 118.95>133.55
AF-1 took off about the same time.

This morning at work I heard on CBP 165.2375 a Mike unit talking to OMAHA-5 and mentioned the video feed. Customs bird N593PC Pilatus PC-12 is currently airborne at 4550ft.

A US Airways plane has crashed into the Hudson River.

1555- N691RC G-V is displaying AVIONICS as a flightid.
1611- Not sure where AF-1 is going but I still have it on the RB. The E-4B dropped off a while ago. Bush is supposed to be giving an address tonight from the East Room.

I also heard that stuck mic on 311.0 here in central New Jersey at that time. I first thought it was local interference or a birdie.

I wonder if the plane crash is the reason for AF-1 and the E-4B departing. Not knowing the cause of the crash at the time.
The timing seems right.

Did any of you guys with RBs catch the VC-25A and the E-4B with ADS-B? I have an alert set for AE* and ADF* but didn't get one -- do you share on the network?
