Looking at my RB log now, 83-0491 SKIER91 should be the C-130 at Dulles. Landing about 1420.
58-0035 RCH1107 is probably one of the KC-135s. Landing about 1130.
GASSR51 AE048C unknown tail, should be the other one. Down to 1030 ft at 1252.
50+86 would be the C-160.
Confirm from the same source that one of the display KC-135s was due at 1130L. Thanks for the serials. Would love to go tomorrow, but that would involve a bus and a long walk, and I just don't have the desire.

AE18E8 F16SUCK belongs to 78-0694. I asked the pilot about it. Said he was in a hurry to get moving or something like that, so that's what he entered. He's local to Loudoun County too.

79-0146 and 79-0153 were the ones from Barksdale. The T-6A is 07-0869 from Columbus, MS.

My friend was there with his Cessna 182. He has a mode-S transponder so I always know when he's up. He flew in this morning from KJYO. Another friend that was there flew over the Civil Air Patrol Cessna from KJYO. He was hanging out by the LC-130 when I heard someone calling my name.

I can post some pictures later.

I didn't see any DC ANG helos, but USCG MH-65C 6562 Atlantic City was there.

Re: REACH 1107

Hop,

REACH 1107 is the regular McConnell supply mission callsign, so I doubt this had any connection to the Plane Pull.

Just got back in myself - LC-130H 30491, KC-135R 38883 Altus, A-10C 78-694 MD, A-10C 79-146 + 79-153 BD, C-160D 50+86, and T-6A 07-869 c/n PT-424, USCG HH-65C 6562 on the static.

HI Mark,

He could be supporting the 79FS deployment from Shaw to the Gulf this week.
Twelve F-16s should be departing between 0600z and 0800z on Tuesday.

Hope this helps,

René.

This morning I got a visual on PISTON-72 58-0069 KC-135 heading west after apparently departing ADW. I was fishing and happened to look up at the right time, so I tuned in 123.825 and found it. I wasn't sure of the callsign until checking my RB log, but it was what I thought I heard.

My log also shows PISTON-71 62-3533 about 15 minutes prior.

E-6B 164407 came close enough to pick it up. It's been a while since I logged one of those.

Still no sign of the plane pull display aircraft leaving Dulles. Really need to get the mode-S for that T-6A.

1408- SKIER91 departed Dulles a short time ago, up to 8k now.

Air Force played at Annapolis yesterday. If I remember from their last visit 2 years ago, we had a handful of KC-135s bringing in cadets from COS - OKIEs from Tinker, AUTOs from Selfridge, and maybe some others that arrived when I wasn't looking/listening.

Hi,

Several tankers as CACTI xx should be departing from CONUS to Europe tonight,
supporting the upcoming 48FW deployment to Nellis AFB later this week.

2340 local OTIS 18 (KC-130J) calling MIRAGE on 136.150 (unknown frequency) saying they should contact PITCHMEN or VALHALLA. MIRAGE 21 FLIGHT (3x AV-8B) already returned from their mission. Any help on this would be appreciated - I'm not used to hearing much USMC activity in my area.

2349 local OTIS now asks MIRAGE to contact PHARAOH on 281.900 (unknown).

2355 local OTIS tells MIRAGE to contact BENCHMAN (think I heard PITCHMEN wrong earlier) on BRICK on 283.600.

I really have no clue about any of these frequencies...not in any references I have.

Guys,

Got this off the Milcom Blog:

64th Air Refueling Squadron Activated at Pease Air National Guard Base
157th Air Refueling Wing -- An Activation and Assumption of Command Ceremony took place at Pease Air National Guard Base Oct. 2. This ceremony officially recognized the 64th Air Refueling Squadron and its new commander, Lt. Col. Christopher Leist.

This is a "very momentous day for the Air National Guard and the Air Force," said 157th Air Refueling Wing Commander Col. Richard Martell.

The 64th ARS is a part of the 22nd Operations Group of McConnell Air Force Base but is operationally assigned to the 157th Air Refueling Wing. The partnership was formed as part of the Active Associate concept where Active Duty Airmen are assigned to an Air National Guard unit and work hand-in-hand with Guardsmen.

"This ceremony is unique because we not only activate a new flying squadron but we also assign a new commander," said Col. Steven Greco, Director of Operations and emcee for the ceremony.

"This is a day to celebrate the beginnings of a new way to capitalize on America and New Hampshire's investment in both the Active Duty Air Force and the Air National Guard," said Leist. "The next greatest generation is standing before you in formation today."

Col. Billy Langford, 22d Operations Group Commander, said this association will bring together the proud tradition of three renowned units "and set the course for a hugely successful partnership for years to come."

After the activation order was read, the 64th ARS guidon was unfurled and raised. Langford passed the guidon to Leist as a symbol of Leist's assumption of command of the 64th ARS. And with the words, "I assume command," Leist officially assumed authority and responsibility of command of the 64th ARS. Leist was presented with the United States Air Force Commander's Badge and also received his first salute from the 64th ARS.

"When the call came to nominate a squadron commander for the 64th, for me there was no deliberation necessary," said Langford. "I knew I had the perfect fit in Lt. Col. Leist."

I decided to just hit the sack last night and record any more comms to check today. Summary of everything as follows:

MIRAGE 21 FLIGHT (3x AV-8B) had departed Patterson for an evening mission. OTIS 18 (KC-130J) may have also originated from there, but I had interference on another frequency and may not have caught it.

MIRAGE 21 and 22 returned to Patterson late in the evening. MIRAGE 23 stayed with OTIS 18 in their track; no ID on where they were, the SUA maps didn't show any activity. MIRAGES were on interplane 308.200 and discussed that the tanker wanted them on 136.150.

All the following activity was on 136.150:

OTIS told MIRAGE to contact HENCHMAN/HENCHMAN or VALHALLA on "BRICK" 283.600. Later comms mentioned them as "ground guys" and calling them "for tasking."

Also had MIRAGE calll PHARAOH on 281.900. OTIS said they were only recieving them while in the NE corner of their track.

MIRAGE 23 said NEWCASTLE (no frequency) may be "off the net," but later reached them briefly...said they were cutting out.

OTIS and MIRAGE were AR through most of this time, but it seems like OTIS may have had trouble retracting their hose again...said they were going to leave it out and retract it when they got closer to landing. OTIS later gave MIRAGE weather for Patterson, but I never heard either of them with the tower.

It appears that the mode-S code for the T-6A that was at Dulles is AE1E45. Picked it up at 800ft at 1324.
GASSER-51 departed at 1030.
GAF C-160 50+86 departed at 1046.

Logged AE01D3 as HOOVR29. 5050ft at 1458 to 27k at 1509.
