NAVY 7N 232 (UC-12B, 161309) - just got clearance back to KADW (via APE, J-30, SHAAR, ELDEE-4)

397.1 - AM - 230 PM EDT - Boston Mass area - 2 parties talking to each other- apparently it is Hanscom "Command Post" and "Purse 99" (maybe "Verse 9") - Purse 99 was requesting transportation and fuel. Peter Sz

It was BURSA 99. I heard him at 1823z calling Hanscom Command Post on 397.100
He told CP he was a Lear Jet with an ETA of 1840. He was a crew of three and needed
transportation to quarters. They were going to remain overnight and requested 3,000 lbs. fuel.

at FL36k so not stopping around here.Showed as C-21/LJ35 #84-0084.
Callsign indicates a Ramstein tail.

1700z BLUE 31 KC-10 #79-0433 thru here with sounded like MAZDA 11 flight
southbound.ZDC 257.700.Inbound from Lajes according to other board.

1900z GRIFFIN 03 southbound ZDC 281.450 to old ZDC Snow Hill 353.950
Guessing VAW-121 Navy E-2C

Yes, this is correct. These were the first six CO / AL ANG F-16s returning from Iraq via Moron
to Montgomery, Alabama. The final ones should be following tomorrow as MAZDA 21 flight.

receivers SPADE 51,52,61,62,71,72 for AR work.
Assume these are AV-8B's from VMA-231 Cherry Point.(Ace of Spades)
2010 local ETHYL 27 KC-10 85-0033 headed Northwest at 21k ZNY Phillipsburg 132.875
2015 Coms on Ar-20 341.750 mentions we are still with ZNY and not with Cleveland Ctr yet.
21 is with you and 24 is a bit behind us..Could be Pittsburgh KC-135's.
2020 ETHYL 27 pushes ZNY North Mountain 128.575

I had one going east:

1424Z : BLUE 81 FLT wkg ZBW on 126.225 => 128.750 - ID'd as KC-10 w/ F-16 x5 heading east.

I was covering something else and he surprised me .... didn't hear anything after he switched to CAPE18 sector .... never caught anything on Coronet freqs.

262.000 interplane .... discussing how low they felt at that altitude. WX good for destination, good to see Beantown and possibly taking a run to some beach. I'm guessing they were heading for Bangor.

1557z BLUE 21 confirms the KC-10 is departing the formation at Norfolk, the four F-16s are continuing to Montgomery.
1603z BLUE 21 flight over to Boston center on 124.525.
1616z BLUE 21 flight handed over to Washington center on 133.125.

Some suggestions that these may have actually been Tyndall F-15s .... apparently they showed up @ Pease. And they use 262.000 for interplane ......

262.0 is familiar with those pilots in the northeast I guess, as it used to be CAPE OPS when Otis ANGB was home to the 102nd.
