A bit off topic, but some of you seem to own radarboxes. I live in the Annapolis area - is there enough mode S air traffic to justify the purchase? What kind of reception range are you seeing? Thanks in advance.
This is typical for me just taken a few minutes ago with Airnav box.
At altitude say 29k plus out to 150-200 miles sometimes.
Course lower say 8k its got to be much closer.
And really close down to 100 feet say overhead.
You can see my rough location marked Home in white letters at northern tip
of Ches Bay.

What antenna are you using and it position? Is it the supplied antenna and you have it sitting in a window frame?

Need it as I'm about 10 feet above sea-level
on downslope of hill.Not the best location. Dead zone towards DC/Balt area.
Roof aerial makes big difference,though supplied tiny aerial is not all that bad locally.

Yeah, it was 60-0321.
1720- Got Australian Air Force ASY373 A36-001 on the box with ADS-B. Looks to be inbound for ADW at 3000ft. Looks like VENUS44 99-0404 is inbound too, but still at FL7200.
1726- Looks like ASY373 is in a holding pattern actually. About to pass to the east of Davison, northbound.
1728- Heard someone asking ADW tower about the ramp freeze. I heard NIGHTHAWK-8 earlier, I never bothered to check for a ramp freeze.
