I am not hearing any A/A chit chat on any of the A-10 VHF freqs lately. Has any one else noticed this?
I tried to search VHF,UHF and even low band... picking up nothing.

Jack

Lately I hear Maryland ANG guys on A/A 233.550 when they are
doing the ranges but not much also on their old VHF freqs.

It looks like AE0EB4 could be a UH-60 after looking at other hex codes in that range. Altitude was 2040ft at 1501 when I picked it up, 1940ft at 1518 when I lost it.

I have an id for that one in my db, not sure where the tie came from and i haven`t marked it confirmed.

More likely E-2C, C-2A, the Greyhawks fly them out of Norfolk.
The Gladiators fly F-18 vartiants and a few T-34C's if they still have them. The AD callsigns are used by both VFA-106 Gladiators (Oceana) and their support VAW-120 Greyhawks (Norfolk) last I heard.

JOSA 708 (C-21A, unid) - dropping off 1 space A, picking up 5 pax, 4000 lbs fuel

Heard a new brevity code used by the Dutch yesterday: "Blade [5]4: Tiger Woods, Tiger Woods."

Just a few guesses:
1) he sank a putt
2) crashed into a tree
3) cheated on his crew chief

Jared,

According to a post on another list, HEATH 14 was E-4B 74-0787.

Tony

Makes sense. Had another unknown heavy on the 29th as NOR? 13...possibly a weeklong shift for the Patterson 1st ACCS detachment.

Patterson 12/6:
SWA7647 (B737, unid) - from KVPS; to KDEN (then to KSLC)
RHINO 91 (C-5A, unid) - returning from mission, A2, parking A3
VADER 05 (C-130H, 89-9105) - ERO (aeromed training?)

Just posted pictures of Springfield ANGB F-16s taken over the past two months:

Coronet update

Twelve Hornets are returning from Moron to Oceana this afternoon as Mazda 71 and Mazda 81 flight.

Only six VMFA-112 Hornets made it to Oceana today, Mazda 81-86 have been filed for tomorrow.

Is there anyone that has their current TAC freqs ??

Hope this helps,

René.

I'm near Andrews, AFB in DC and saw one as well. If you're saying you are in the DC area then try the DCA tower and Potomac TRACON freqs etc.. I'm not sure if you're looking for NJ freqs or not.

Your best bet for hearing heli movements are the tower freqs of surrounding airports vhf/uhf depending on which one they're on and the local departure/approach freqs.....

Category:Aircraft Monitoring - The RadioReference Wiki

Check out the wiki pages for milcom and the Tower for surrounding airports (i.e. in DC-Metro Area check DCA, IAD, BWI, ADW etc...) and TRACON freqs for your area in the db as well as the known military band freqs in said db.

Category:Milcom - The RadioReference Wiki

Someone else would have better info as I've been out of the loop for awhile but those are some places to start.

I'm interested to know if anyone has heard the ch-46s today due to the fact that you some them in NJ and I'm in DC.
