Anyone with an ID for AE01D8 displaying SAME40 (RC-135 callsign)? It had ADS-B. Start position was at 1025 local. End position was at 1202 local.

After doing some research I was able to add some RC-135 records to my database. That gives me two unknown codes for probable RCs (AE01D8 and AE01D9) and two planes I can't find a code for.
62-4133 TC-135S Stratolifter
61-2662 RC-135S Cobra Ball

I have 3 untied RC/TC serials and 3 untied hex`s. looking at reported callsigns for
these hex`s i think they may be as below. But this is just my speculation.

61-2662 RC-135S
62-4129 TC-135W
62-4133 TC-135S

AE01D3 Snoop29/Hoovr29/Cobrh29/Topct29/Topctsux
.... 62-4129 ??

AE01D8 Same40
.... 61-2662 ??

AE01D9 Hoovr33/Drago51/Sensor1
.... 62-4133 ??

I thought this was funny. Making sure they have it covered for whenever he finally does leave.

Re: VC-25 headed out

Just looked out the dining room window here and saw a VC-25A westbound over the house...no radio at hand at the moment but assume AIR FORCE 1.

Figured I'd jump on here long enough to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I still haven't caught up reading the thread but am getting there a handful of messages at a time. Many, many thanks for the well wishes. I guess most of you know I've been missing due to a health problem. No need to describe what has been going on other than to say I've missed the hell out of participating here and hope to be back full time by the New Year at the latest - if not before.

Did anyone mention the new C-130J from the 115th AS, CA-ANG that showed up at Martin State and flew as CRAB 67? It was 06-1467 and followed the unit's suffix rule by using 67. It was flying with the OCEAN callsign through the 4th of this month and then was noted as of the 22nd as a CRAB. It flew cross-country under the CRAB callsign for its arrival at MTN.

Okay, I'm done for now. See everyone soon.

Very glad to hear from you! Looking forward to Milair V and the new year!

Everyone be sure to check out NORAD's Christmas tradition:

Official NORAD Santa Tracker

Under "About NORAD > Why we track Santa" is a recorded interview with Col. Harry Shoup - very entertaining!

By the way, I don't know if this was posted before:

A couple unknowns (probable C-130s) from a few days ago are AE1BEE HKY99 and AE1BEC HKY98
Logged AE074E again yesterday, previously it displayed USNAVY for a callsign. Altitudes make it look like it could be coming out of Pax.

2034- 05-4613 AVALON-35 leaving town to the west, displaying SPAR16. 118.95>133.55 same freqs as AF1 this morning, skipping the usual 118.675.
2039- To 127.925 ZDC-Valley

2100- DERBY-37 C-130 91-1237 showing DERBY 20 departing ADW to the west. Female pilot requests a shortcut. 118.95
2103- Cleared direct Charleston. 133.55

2134- PUMA-66 (AE1214 ALLIED 1) departing to the west. 118.95>133.55 Looking for direct to Little Rock unless necessary to go around WX. That should make it a 41st AS C-130. This one came in around 2000 but I didn't hear it because my amp was unplugged.
2149- To 134.4

Logged them also myself thru here the other day.
These two new C-130J 86 AW deliveries showed up at Ramstein the other day.
Odd part is older tail 06 numbers as obvious production delays or shuffled later for whatever reason.
AE1BED is rumoured to have 07-8611 tail not yet delivered.

AE1BEC #06-8610 Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules 86 AW Ramstein
AE1BEE #06-8612 Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules 86 AW Ramstein
The 08 C-130J tails all have AE220* so far.

Radarbox is currently showing Vision Airlines N781VA displaying RBY2002 for a callsign. Normally they display the reg. It's passing through the area rather than into or out of Dulles. It's even showing on FlightAware > Vision Airlines #2002

Departed about 4 1/2 hours late. Must've been delayed by weather. Agree that we don't normally see them display their airline call. I'm trying to find out from one of their employees what the purpose of the flight was. If I get an answer, I'll post it.

Some significance to this aircraft?
FAA lists as CASTLE 2003-1A LLC Wilm De.reg 03/25/2009
Checking backlogs last time I had up this way was was on April 29th
at 40k.
