E-6B 164388 has departed Pax and is now heading west direct GVE. Callsign ends with 13, may begin with a B. Something like BUNKO.
1510- ZDC-Montebello>Luray. Turning to the northwest.

Earlier I found a former supervisor flying around in his personal Cessna 182. I wasn't so sure he had mode-s.

1620 BUNKO-13 (spelled out) with Huntress 364.200 over JFK area checking in.
164388 showed at 20:39z and 164404 also at 20:39z decending.
Also had a (AE0B35) for 2 seconds at 0320z no nothing for that one.

Mark, what's up with those times? Do you really mean they were in the 0300Z hour last night?

I had AE0B35 logged at 1540 but I have nothing on it either.

It almost looked like those two E-6Bs were going to fly the same route but in opposite directions - one clockwise and the other counterclockwise.

Huh. We have 164408 out over the Pacific, also ending in 13 ...

Jordan, I've noticed a couple of times that the east and west coast birds used the same suffix at the same time from your reports. I don't know if that's just a happy coincidence or if it's planned that way. We catch the callsigns so seldomly that it's difficult to pin it down and, because they don't program the callsign, I can't go back in the database and check it. Not important anyway - just curiosity.

.

Sorry about times, woke up from nap and not thinking or seeing clearly.
try again here...
2009/01/03 20:39z for 164404 and
2009/01/03 21:12z for 164388. that 3 for date got in my way..LOL
20:47z for AE0B35

Odd log, guess Russkies lease aircraft from Brits or just have mode S in that range.
(4001AD) AFL317 UUEE-KIAD VP-BWX B763 Aeroflot - Russia... 2009/01/03 22:16z
SW bound towards KIAD.

All day on RB have been logging mode S 400000 with no altitudes and yet a squawk that changes.
It times out then re-appears again.
This a ground station test, maybe Philadelphia?

N400MP is just about back to IAD. Departed around 1015 this morning.
ARMY-863 was outbound through ZDC-Irons a few minutes ago. Has ADS-B but it's not working so well, showed it over Greenland briefly but now down near Richmond.

2205- N303PH is operating as Aircare-1 tonight. Heading to PG hospital right now.

2245- E-6B 164388 coming in the back door. Heading south towards MRB.
JUSTICE-932 is in the area again tonight.
2254- Just passed Winchester and switched off ZDC-Blue Ridge.
2301- BUNKO-13 with ZDC-Irons looking for the descent near the FLUKY marker.

2253-Out on the west coast 164408 is approaching the CA coast north of San Francisco.
0041- Once again E-6B 162784 is heading SE, just crossing over the Al-Faw Peninsula in Iraq. Seems to be on the same track.

Travis,

6530 is one of the most recent at Reagan. He was up here this past week in Balto doing a search for a reported bridge jumper then RTB'ed to Reagan

Re the Coast Guard helos; it will be interesting to see if the semi-new ops frequencies will be used...

345.0 Operations Primary AM Mode
237.9 Operations Secondary AM Mode
326.15 Air-to-Ground Primary AM Mode
379.05 Air-to-Ground Secondary AM Mode

I know they have been reported being used elsewhere, but not so much here. Wonder why?

VENUS-94 is inbound or not. Someone was checking the laser warning system it sounded like. There were some comms on 260.9.
AF-2 has climbed to FL340.

1618- DEA N215BB is inbound to IAD.

1629- FBI N254CX is airborne, from Manassas probably.
1642- JENA-623 direct PALEO 125.65

1830- N400MP has departed IAD. Heading the same way as JENA-623. REACH-6168 and HIRE-41 are passing through.
To BWI App 128.7 rather than 125.65.
1845- A70F5F N554ME STAT-12 enroute to Children's Hospital.

2030- SAM-91 came in a little while ago, that must've been Obama and co arriving.
