I think some Langley F-22's are getting ready to deploy to Kadena soon.

Evergreen flight pressed on to Kadena so I look for the Langley F-22's to depart Monday
morning.
Figure at least 3 Mcguire KC-10's or better to move those 12 thirsty F-22's
out to Anchorage for first leg I assume.
Probably hear a F-22 airspare or two launch as well.
Any guesses on callsigns? GOLD? TREND?

Hi Mark,
I dont think any of the H-65s are hexing yet, although they undoubtedly have codes
assigned to them
FWIW ADFE39 is used by 2129, confirmed on the ground here at KMVY. 2133 uses
the code A1C768, also visually confirmed here. I do think that 2129 is using the
assigned code of 2133, which itself is miscoded with the code assigned for N2133,
follow me so far? :)
Anyway, here is what i have on the HU-25s, feel free to fill in the gaps. Serials with an
asterix are not confirmed.

---- ADFE22 ?
---- ADFE23 ?
2102* ADFE24 HU-25?

Very nice stuff Adrian. I didn't know you were putting the CG birds together too. That 2133 is kind of funny when you think of the various ways some avionics tech used to decide what to program into the Mode-S box. Hmmm...N2133 is close enough, right?

Happy New Year to you. Hope all is going well.

Yeah, whats funny is that the only way to come up with that hex is by refering to the
FAA, and you would think that he would realise then that that code wasn`t the one assigned
to his Falcon jet. N2133 is actually some type of home-built helicopter from California.
All i can think is that the box was overhaulled in some civilian shop somewhere and they
saw 2133 on the paperwork and assumed it must relate to N2133. Even so you would have thought
that the Avionics guy who installed it on the a/c would have checked to ensure it was set up
correctly.....but then again they fitted the correctly assigned box to 2129 so maybe they
really dont care.

It was actually outbound at the time.

SAM-91 and VENUS-94 returned around 1900 with Obama and co. Fox News just showed his arrival on TV.

I guess SAM 91 makes sense -- kind of. I'm surprised he was allowed to "roll" the executive branch once again. I thought perhaps when they denied him use of the Blair House that he'd take the hint he wasn't the president yet. Guess not. Pisses me off that they're using tax dollars to pay for this travel. He did raise almost a billion bucks for this kind of crap, didn't he?

Me. However, since I'm not in charge of such things, they didn't give me a say.

I believe it's conventional to give the incoming guy a lift to DC before the innauguration; I think he's there for the duration. I read a piece from 2001 saying that Cheney greeted GW at ADW as he arrived from Texas ... a few days before he got the upgraded callsign.

I'm an equal opportunity denier. No one should get to use tax dollars until/unless they're in office. I don't agree with taxpayer dollars used to fly other elected officials either. Let 'em fly coach on Southwest - except for the President.

It's also conventional to have the outgoing guy get a one-way trip "home" in the VC-25A ...

Yeah, it is. And I bet this President won't steal the Air Force One china.

Okay, now you're baiting me to get way off topic here. I keep telling myself not to do that and then a hot button gets pressed and...BOOM...there I go. Sorry everyone.
