Summit County 800 System

I think the Twinsburg tower moved in late April or was scheduled to .. I noticed nothing reception wise if it did.

Right. I keep forgetting to drive by the tower site, but I saw the video of the top section going on and I think that was dated March.

Other than a previous post on not receiving It's been fine. I had only the one CC in. Put the other three in and it resumed fine.

But today when I put ALL the DB frequencies in I still get nothing. No CC.

I receive the Parma system fine so it's not an antenna or rx sensitivity issue.
Oh and I did a full reset and reload. Nada.

I'm hearing a very very weak and broken CC on 855.2625. I can't believe the Twinsburg site is working unless they are using an unpublished CC freq. The ONLY site I could ever hear on this system is the Twinsburg site since I am within 2 miles of it and it is very strong. Except now.

I've heard very weak signals this morning I live just off Highland very close to tower and can barely hear its driving me nuts because Summit County is really the only thing I listen to and Twinsburg but they're still analog, been using stalk mode and regular searching nothing found I may drive down there today and look and see if they're doing maintenance.

The next closest site is like 15 miles south over high terrain. I think T'burg site is dead.

I have just been reminded that we heard a strange buzzing noise on this system and that may have been the last transmission. I think it let out smoke.

Mainly hearing 854.5125 I see the Sheriff drive by occasionally talking on radio hear absolutely nothing may'be using a back-up? around 11am got perty strong for a minute then faded away

CC is 855.2625 today, normal reception for me..
Maybe, just maybe .. when the reband occurs, maybe the Twinsburg tower will go live or full strength or .. ?? Just guessing here.

I am hearing Summit County system loud and clear this morning in Geauga County. The new Twinsburg tower must be up and running.

I've been monitoring Akron with a pro 197 for about 2 yrs. The last few days are real choppy, I have never had any problems before. I'm right in DT Akron and not getting a signal then up to 5 bars. I am always mobile. I drive around all day. Could this be do to the tower being moved. I bought a new antenna with no help. I've never really messed with the scanner, never had any reason to. Let me know you thoughts. Thanks

Summit / Akron System has been rebanded .. add the following frequencies ..
858.7125, 858.5125, 857.9625.

Also add rebanded system tables to your scanner:

Band Plan 1 lower limit 851.0250, upper limit 854.0000 offset 440, spacing 25khz
Band Plan 2 lower limit 851.0125, upper limit 868,9875, offset 0, spacing 25khz.

855.2625 is the main CC after rebanding.

Database should be updated soon by the DB admin.

I have reprogrammed my scanner, however, i still am getting traffic from random talkgroups, but it is showing up as Dispatch 1 for APD.
