I have not had a chance to monitor these 2 TG's yet, but I will do it in the next few days. I would say it is in addition to the VHF system. Last I read the National Parks had purchased some 800 radios and a VHF radio was to be given to the Summit Sheriff for purposes of patching. Below is what I copied from the Summit 800 website.
"Mr. Szabo also stated the Cuyahoga Valley National Park submitted their Use Agreement and will activate four radios on the system. They will also supply a VHF P25 control station which will be installed at the SCSO to facilitate a patch to the system."

Did anyone else hear the testing being done on the Cuyahoga Falls channels today? It is still ongoing, and I hear the word "test" every few minutes. Heard the testing on main channel, Tac-1 and Tac-2. I was thinking it might have something to do with rebanding because there has been a lot of talk about it on the Summit County 800 website.

Looks like rebanding or retuning of the network is scheduled for May 13, according to the Summit 800 website.

The testing was definitely due to rebanding. I spoke to a high ranking officer, and he advised me several portables were being done each day. Also, officers were bringing cruisers over to the city garage as time permitted to have the mobiles rebanded.

Is Akron PD SWAT encrypted ? Heard an incident Saturday they were using TAC 1 and advised to go to SWAT 1 went to that TG and wildcard heard nothing after that.
Can barely hear Summit County System today from northern Summit County usually very strong and lots of noise also, is this because of re-banding?
Last hit I got today was 9:28 AM. Nothing since.
They did switch CC a while back. I'll have to see if I have all their freqs programmed in.
Everything sounds OK down here from my location in Kent.. CC is 853.3625.

That's one I had in there. I hear absolutly nothing on that frequency and I'm 1.5 miles from the Twinsburg site (the old one). I don't know if the new one is up and running but I would be even closer to it.
I unlocked everything and am in ID search mode and nothing at all since 9:28 this AM.
I find this very strange. I'm hearing no CC at all.
Other systems are fine. Just NO Summit.
Everything still normal here . .. Receiving OK. Not really sure why you suddenly cant receive. The Summit /Akron system has always been easy to get, even in adjacent counties.
I think the Twinsburg tower moved in late April or was scheduled to .. I noticed nothing reception wise if it did.

I live in Twinsburg Twp just few minute drive from the Twinsburg tower and starting to receive Summit again but very weak so assuming the Twinsburg site is down?? or getting maintenance.
