Motorola has completed
installation of all infrastructure including new consoles at Akron/Summit dispatch.
. Meetings with MARCS to
plan the connection to the MARCS master site in Lake County will begin soon with the goal of
connecting mid 2018
Mr. Szabo recommended all users contact their radio vendor to schedule
programming of their radios the new system to ensure all users are moved to the new
system by the end of the 2017

Akron is not moving to the MARCS system. Like Butler, Lake, Geauga, and other counties, Summit will connect its county system to MARCS to improve interoperability. The county will continue to manage its system separate of MARCS.

They'll be on the new Summit County P25 system that is being built out to replace the current Smartzone System. The new Summit County P25 system will be linked to the MARCS-IP system which will likely allow units to roam onto MARCS if they leave the footprint of the Summit system.

They are in the process of moving to the new P25 system. All current county users will be on P25 in the near future. If you're listening to them today on the Barberton ASR site (old Barberton analog) you'll need to update your scanner. The Barberton ASR site will be shut down next week.

I was going through my scanner and I knows you the frequencies for city of New Franklin the main control Channel is not making it snowing or showing any IDs I think that's just a maybe scrapped I do not know

I'm hearing them fine on new P25 simulcast system ... They may have shut down the Barberton P25 .
I could never receive that system, so I don't know .

Barberton and Norton have moved off the P25 ASR site on to the P25 simulcast site.
