I normally use 32 bits and when I copied TETRA set-up to 64bit laptop I forgot to try 64 bit Net Remote plug-in.

As it's only a TCP interface I'm not going to worry about it. 32 bit version works just fine.

gustavobm, when you hit post 4 or 5 you should try and PM me and I'll send you details on where you can send me those logs.

I'm using TTT simple version on my 860 MHz local network for now and I have a question.

A control channel is a channel where "main" and "current" are the same number right?

I have few of those on this network but they all broadcast the same calls and TTT don't chase a VC during these calls, it just remains on the same channel. On those channels I can listen both sides of all calls with no interruptions.

Is that normal?

The "main" indicates the CC. So yes, when "main" and "current" are same it's the CC.

While a few/all of those frequencies are CCs, are they all the same network or different. Is MNC different on those CC.

You may just have a small network where all the other CCs are just other LAs (locations) and you don't have "VC" carriers in those LAs.

"Is that normal". I don't know.

Thanks for the information!

On TTT, at the end of the calls when "VC-D realease appears", the "main" goes briefly to freq 000.000 and returns to the VC normal number. If someone calls or answer while this is happening, TTT don't recognize this call and always wait for a new one.

Is that expected?

Thank you again for your patience.

Which version of TETRA Trunk Tracker you using? Normal or Simple.

What goes to 000.000:
SDR# tuner?
The "Main" in the plug-in panel?

The "Main" in the plug-in panel will do it when changing frequency because there is a delay before it starts decoding to determine what the channel data is.
"Is that expected?" Yes

"If someone calls or answer while this is happening, TTT don't recognize this call and always wait for a new one."

If using "Simple" this is the trade off of using 1 dongle/SDR#. When a call is seen, SDR# moves from CC (main) to VC channel. While this happens we do not know if there are other calls been set-up.

Using the normal version, it is always on CC (main) and can keep track of the call set-up PDUs. Using priorities, you can switch to GSSIs of interest when seen override all other calls.

Simple.

"The "Main" in the plug-in panel?"

Exactly.

"If using "Simple" this is the trade off of using 1 dongle/SDR#. When a call is seen, SDR# moves from CC (main) to VC channel. While this happens we do not know if there are other calls been set-up."

Ok, so this is the normal behaviour for the simple version.

Thanks again!

PS: I'll will try to PM you.

This is a crosspost from another forum:

Thank you for making this software. Since 2 weeks the Tetra network I'm monitoring having mixed encrypted and unencrypted users. Despite I choose for "only listen to clear speech" I do still hear encrypted calls due some bugs in the Tetra Demodulator plugin.

With your trunk tracker those encrypted calls are suppressed. There is only one small bug which could be fixed easily if I had the source code: I still hear encrypted calls on a very low volume with the mute to 25 dB. I wish this value could be set lower.

4rd Public Release

This is the forth release of this program. (TETRA Trunk Tracker v0.99.7)
And third release for (TETRA Trunk Tracker v0.99.7s - Simple)

I Have created a SX version which adds SDS GPS locations plotting in DSDPlus LRRP program.
This is very experimental as is why is is separate. But is the same as "Simple".
Normal version does not have it yet and will depend on demand for it.
Read "TTT_SDS_test_version_usage.pdf"
Let me know if it works for you. Send me a screenshot via PM. (I don't receive SDS Location PDUs here)

It is in alpha stage. This means is may contain errors that may cause issues with the other programs it
works with. i.e. crashing them or itself. Although I'm not seeing this.

If SDR# is crashing when 'Demodulator' is enabled, it's because you have not set-up the plug-in correctly.
You MUST do this 1st. This is NOT TETRA Trunk Trackers fault.

You generally need to get these installed:
"Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 (Offline Installer)"
"Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 (Offline Installer)"
"Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable" and install both 32/64 bit versions (if you use 64 bit OS)

The TETRA plug-in currently(?) been developed by TSSDR is also in early development. Because of this
any changes made in plug-in releases most likely will break this program.

Two versions are available:
  • Normal (Uses 2 SDR# and 2 Dongles)
  • Simple (Uses 1 SDR# and 1 Dongles with some features not available)

This version is more of a bug fix:
  • See 'changelog.txt' for details
  • Seems the 64bit Net Remote plug-in does not work, so I removed it. Just use the 32 bit version.

Has been tested on Windows 7 - Professional SP1 (32 bit), English
Has been tested on Windows 10 - ? (64 bit)

The more people that report what their OS is that they got TETRA Trunk Tracker working in, the better. I can add to list.
(Is it Windows 7,8,10 - Basic, Home, Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise - 32/64 bit)

I have created it to suit my needs. And it currently works for me with the TETRA network I monitor.

I make no claim that it will work for other networks.

Please read the provided files for set-up and usage:
  • TTT_set-up_manual.pdf
  • TTT_Features_and_Usage.pdf
I have tried to be as thorough as possible with the documentation to explain usage and features.
I believe any questions can be answered by reading these files.
These files most likely are not complete and contain errors and are not laid out as good as they could be.

It only works with the provided TETRA plug-in supplied in zip. (2018-June-06).
This version uses a custom compiled version of 'Net Remote' supplied in zip

It is only meant to be a temporary solution until something better comes along.

Hopefully all goes well for you setting it up.

Here is a short video showing another test with LRRP using some fabricated TETRA SDS PDUs. A lap around Bahrain Grand Prix circuit.

Thanks for reporting that back.

Are you using both versions?

On Windows 10 is it still required to run both versions with elevated privileges "Run as Administrator"

I installed v099.7 and want to activate location plotting, but there is no options tab "G". Just the previous P R O L and C option. Or am I searching at the wrong place?

This SX version has a few bugs. I have been working with another user to work them out.
While this update seems to be working, I wanted to give it a couple of days running.
I may release in next few days if it works out.

If your region uses "." as a decimal symbol and not "," then this current version maybe OK for now.

5th Public Release

This is the fifth release of this program. (TETRA Trunk Tracker v0.99.8)

It is in alpha stage. This means is may contain errors that may cause issues with the other programs it
works with. i.e. crashing them or itself. Although I'm not seeing this.

Two versions are available:
  • Normal (Uses 2 SDR# and 2 Dongles)
  • Simple (Uses 1 SDR# and 1 Dongles with some features not available)

This version adds and fixes some items:
  • Have merged SDS location plotting (via DSDPlus LRRP) back into in both versions.
  • - Settings are return back to be saved as "tetra_trunk_tracker_simple.dat"
  • - New version of settings file requires re-creating it.
  • ADDED: Command line option for SDR# bandwidth adjustment.
  • ADDED:Compact mode now is "On Top" of all other windows.
  • FIXED: When TTT was closed in Compact mode then restarted, there was no way to start TTT (click Start)
  • - This adds start button to compact window.
  • ADDED: Simple version - Restored call priorities (limited function).
  • FIXED: Tool "TETRA popup error dismisser" did not work with non english pop-ups dialogs.
  • See 'changelog.txt' for more details.

Has been tested on Windows 7 - Professional SP1 (32 bit), English
Has been tested on Windows 10 - ? (64 bit)

So has anyone tried out the SDS location plotting via DSDPlus LRRP yet?

The network I monitor also send GPS position in a SDS but it seems to be a protocol that has not been implemented in the decoder (it also doesn't show coordinates in Telive)

Other than that the software works good for me!

That's the best plot I've seen yet. Glad it's working well for you.

You are only seeing the request, looks like the MS are not setup to reply. I don't think its "protocol" as there is only one.

Yes the units reply, When see this request, very short after you notice a response on slot 4.
When use the early plugin versions from February 2018, the GPS location is shown in SDS screen or test with the older/ early versions uses the M-SYS shell. Older versions the SDS screen is not resizeable yet, dont see the full length GPS string activity.
