To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.
If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

just watched the video looks really nice i started with a g4 about 2 years ago and moved to the sds200 for my home scanner glad to see there updateing the g4 and g5 these are nice radios
Honestly, for me, as long as the new firmware allows multiple sites to be scanned, I'd be satisfied as an end user. If there was no other changes, I'd be grateful for just that. And thankfully according to what Unication has released so far, that will be included.
Keep up the good work Steve and the team at Unication! Hope the tests go well and we get to enjoy this soon enough.
Can any of the beta testers show the pups side of programming the scan groups, and where the TG delay option is. do any of them know if the priority TG remains for each system when in system scan?
Thanks
Multiple sites would be great. I have some communities where the police are on one site and fire/EMS is on another. Of course delay and hold is a major feature as well. Glad to see Unication working with scanner enthusiasts now

Well since you're in Ohio, I don't have to tell you that the MARCS system in and of itself allows Unication to give Uniden a run for their money by developing secondary use as a receiver and not just a pager. Even when I've been through with an SDS-100 I still have issues. Thankfully the paper that Unication has released so far does say, "multiple systems, with multiple sites". And the beta test videos do show multiple sites in use.
If there were no other features...I'd be perfectly happy with just that.
I can receive county sites over two counties away, in downtown Columbus on the first floor of a 20 story building, and inside my car with the stock pager antenna. I could never do that with a scanner.
Can one of the Beta testers ask them if they could change the way priority scan works? It needs to work more like a radio where you can set priority one and an optional priority 2. Something like that. This current way is awful and I think most people would agree.
