I like the yellow and gold. On the 200 in the house I used the green text for digital and yellow for conventional.
I used the 100 in the car on a proclip on the dash and the only thing that works is white on black background but I did experiments with salmon color for the lower indicators.
Yep these are all detailed screens, as you can see I remove 90% of the clutter so I can see what I'm actually listening to. So much of the information is just not necessary for me.For some reason, I didn't realize that those three "Info Areas" could have the colors changed. I'm going to play with that a bit and see if it helps me pick them out more easily. Having those is one big reason I prefer the "Detailed" displays options.

All I have is all I need. On the P2 system where it says simulcast that is the one site you can manipulate in the radio but there are 26 towers in the system. Having the sites visible is important on some systems. Filter indicator is a must. I like the favorites list name in the upper right.
As far as the System, Department end Channel indicator you can have a space in between them like I do or you can choose to have one consistent strip go across.
Bob,I like the way my screen is set up.....the detailed trunk is very nice but way too cluttered. So I blacked out some areas and deleted some items I really don't need. I guess there are unlimited ways to customize this.
Hahaha yeah I am slowly starting to use minimal colors cause screen gets too cluttered looking and my eyes are not what they used to be. How is that mag mount antenna been working for you? I ended up getting a couple 800 mhz yagi antennas and they seem to work best here.Simple but still just enough info tell you what you need to know.
I've been tinkering a bit with the blue colors on my SDS100 but blue on the black background makes it difficult to see unless you are looking directly at it. The Lime (green) displays very well on the black background. Just trying not to introduce too many colors.
I found there are a bunch of talkgroups not available on here (RR) but on the SCAN NE website under the Metro Prov listing is a big list of other talk groups. I manually added a few of them myself. Prov has a ton of DPW TG's....probably not too interesting but some of the other ones look good.Started with the "Simple" mode just to add some pizazz (read that as satisfied with current FL programming so waisting time with colors).

Watching this thread to gather layout ideas before starting to mess with the "Detail" mode.
The older my eyes get the more I have to agree. I'd like to be able to monitor on my cell phone but not sure how to do that. If I need to connect radio to my router, then thats going to be tough since router downstairs! I tried using the setup on Proscan but its too much of a hassle keeping it working and I could never work out the delay problem. My two SDS200s in the shack display with white text and black backgrounds, which provides a vivid contrast that I find easier to quickly glance at to discern what is being received. With respect to remote monitoring on my cell phone, the display on a cell phone seems to need even more of a vivid contrast than white/black. So, I have one SDS200 webpage programmed with a bright green text and black background, and the other SDS200 webpage is programmed with a dark blue text and white background. The most important thing if monitoring remotely is having pretty vivid contrast between text and the background. The multi-color display is just too distracting to quickly glance at and easily read the data display without having to unduly concentrate on adjusting your eyes to multi-colors. I agree that the multi-color schemes look cool at a glance, but multi-color displays seem to distract from the function of the display.
Yeah, I have some trouble with the blue as well. It's like seeing those folks with blue LED lights under their RV awnings.Bob,
That's nice and simple but still just enough info tell you what you need to know.

Greetings from a former quad-city "er!I think I've spent more time tinkering with the color options and field locations than I have programming my favorite lists! I've gone through a lot of trial and error because the colors on my computer screen don't quite look the same when they are applied to the scanner. I am really going for something that will look good in low light as well as bright sunlight.
Ultimately, I am tweaking a variation of the various shades of Sky Blue to look similar the to dash display of my vehicle. It's still a work in progress. Until my Explorer gets out of the shop (someone slid through a stop sign during a snow shower and hit it while my XYL was driving), I won't be satisfied on the colors.

Hi, how did you center the names? and are those in bold or larger text than the three line. For some reason, I didn't realize that those three "Info Areas" could have the colors changed. I'm going to play with that a bit and see if it helps me pick them out more easily. Having those is one big reason I prefer the "Detailed" displays options.

Like it very much, very simple, yet professional
Your loss. No one asked you anyways. You were guessing which was incorrect which prompted my response.Don't use ProScan.
