Using Proscan, the program is using the Lenovo laptop's internal microphone instead of the URL ethernet sound input.
The microphone is actually recording directly from the scanner's speaker.

I tried to disable the microphone, but then Proscan won't let me record while it is disabled.
The microphone still functions when the laptop cover is closed.

Any suggestions?

If you intend to use the LAN/Ethernet method then do this:
Can you stop the Recorder then go to the Audio Control -> Recorder tab then change the input to URL. After that, click the URL Setup button to see if the TX & RX bytes are incrementing and no errors are showing. If okay then exit the URL setup window and restart the recorder.

Thanks, I missed that Recorder tab on my small screened laptop.
The audio now works as it should.
