I'm monitoring a Motorola P25p1 system using Unitrunker v1.0.33.6. The problem is that group 65536 constantly appears on the control channel line, as well as in frequent, continuous runs of tens or even hundreds of hits in the log window. Thus far, I have logged nearly 400,000 hits on group 65536 with no apparent associated voice or data traffic.

Is there a setting to prevent these group entries or some other way to lockout or hide these hits? The lockout and hide buttons in the individual group window do not seem to have any effect.

I think I read somewhere it was the site id'ing maybe. But yeah, double click it to edit it. Scroll down to 'hide' and check it. Then on your log window make sure 'hide' is checked.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the lockout and hide buttons have no effect.

TGID 65536 is BSI (Base Station Identification)
Some systems send it continuously and others don't.
You have to edit the talkgroup and check the hide box before you can hide it on the call history tab.

I may should have been more clear. Like nd5y said, you have to edit the talkgroup itself. I know it will work on that version as I'm hiding 65536 and many others myself.

By "edit the talkgroup itself", are you meaning to double-click on the talkgroup number and check the boxes labeled "lock-out" and "hide" in the talkgroup window (as shown below)? As you can see, I've tried that. Is there something else I'm missing?1606364430935.png

Looks like you have it edited correctly in the talkgroup menu. Did you also check the box on the main history window? (See screenshot). You can't hide the frequency in the upper half of Unitrunker showing that the control channel is IDing. But can can prevent those long runs on the history screen that take up pages. Here's the screenshot of mine on one of those runs with and without 'hide' checked. Just making sure we're on the same page and I didn't completely misunderstand what you were originally asking.

Wow! Checking the "hide" box at the top of the log screen was the missing piece. I didn't realize that the hide function needed to be enabled globally even though the individual talkgroup already had its hide box checked. Thanks so much for that tip. Happy Thanksgiving to you, and nd5y as well.

I hate to admit how long I used Unitrunker before I finally figured that out myself hahaha. Glad you got it working. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
