According to the Wayne at the Whistler booth, today is the "official" release date. All of the first production run shipments are sold to dealers. Of course, YMMV.

This is what I can *actually* verify:
1. It exists in reality. (I had to physically touch it to be sure)
2. The vocoder audio quality is very good on Phase I P25. (I am a Motorola user)
3. It is a tad smaller than I thought.

I have been a Uniden fan for the longest time but the deal breaker is the remote head issue. I love it on my 996 and don't especially want a glass screen with zero tactile feedback while driving.

Still on the fence as I am not a big fan of the Whistler UI and love the GPS feature of the Unidens.

I will admit makes me look like the ONLY foolish dealer on RR.
I will update the update again.,

Expect in Whistler warehouse June 15th NOW.
Not sure from what movie but wasnt it Donald Sutherland maybe form Animal House
"I am not making this up"
OOPS it was "I am not joking, this is my job"

Thanks Jeff for all of the updates from HamStation. I have bought several scanners from you in the past and I always get the truth from you guys. I have been waiting for a year or so now and I am ready to get the first radio shipped from you. Can't wait. Excited.

Thanks Again. Now lets see what the other manufacturers have up their sleeve next. I still do love my WS-1065 radio. The digital decode on P25 is still the best in my opinion.

Aren't the Whistlers more "user friendly than the Unidens? 436 & 536?

Hmm.. maybe Jeff should put Whistler on Double Secret Probation

One quick point to make here:

Please people, try to stay on subject here with & about the Whistler WS1095 & not about drink/drunk jokes! That is not what RadioReference forums are supposed to be about. a couple of you here in this forum thread for the Whistler WS1095 are going way too off topic here I must say that I am noticing & so are others I am sure.

Lets get back to the features, bells & whistles of the WS1095 & what is to come & be of it very soon.

Jeff was making a joke about himself after making post about 3 or 4 different post for release dates from Whistler and that is on topic as I see it just some humor in waiting for the release of the scanner. The release dates have changed several times over several months. About the features it is a WS1080 with a 12 volt cord, mounting bracket and removable face.

Also as I understand it, unlike the Ws1080, it no longer includes the baseband audio output (discriminator) as a feature. If you want it, you'll need to find a tap point, void the warrantee, and hard wire a jack. I'm sure there was a reason to it was removed, but that was a feature I was hoping for.

Dear Mr. Forum Policeman,

Please cite the exact reference to drinking/drunk jokes in my post.

Thank You for your prompt attention to this very serious matter.

Didn't I read somewhere early on that Amazon was going to be a method of distribution as well? I thought it had something to do with RS scaling back so much.

I haven't seen them on Amazon as of this morning.

They may not post until they get stock. All of the RS scanner are on Amazon right now from the low to high 200s

Have you worked with this company before? What is their return and warrantee policy?

I'm nit sure of the warranty or return policy. My friend told me about them. They have been in business since 1991 and is an actual company based in Connecticut.
