Mandatory evacuations of Windsor due to the numerous gas leaks in town.

Where are you getting the radar imagery from?

Storm U/D: Command is trying to start mandatory evacs of the heavily damaged sections of Windsor because of the numerous gas leaks and wires down, but fire crews say folks are refusing to leave.

Just came through that area, couldn't believe it. I been up camping since Friday decided to come down today and started hearing the news. Everything hear in Lupton is ok, passed through Platteville and some of the areas hit and the damage isn't bad if any, but Windsor seams to be the worst hit.

At this time, the Budweiser Even Center also known as the Ranch has been opened for those who need shelter, at Crossroads and I-25.

Anyone know specifically what Loveland PD Tac-4 was being used for and who it was being used by?

Have been listening to the digital and 145.115 on the 2042. Sense I first heard the warnings go out at around 11:30. I believe TAC-4 is Loveland PD in Windsor. There is a lot of traffic though. I need to start logging and comparing Radio IDs..

I live in Loveland. That sucker was close! I have been on the look out and listening to spotter reports all day.

Yeah I figured it was interagency assistance, but I missed the actual talkgroup assignment. It was being used quite extensively so it raised an eyebrow. And on the interoperability issue: the system worked very well connecting agencies. As far as the busy signals go, I guess any system might fail to perform if everyone in the county (and other counties) is using the system.

The problem is the N. Greeley Site covers the W. Greeley and Windsor area where emergency operations are occurring and only has 6 voice channels. Horsetooth is also getting loaded heavily as well. Since a majority of emergency personnel are carrying portables they are affiliating with the N. Greeley Site.

The weather service at the time of my post (4:30 A.M.) is forecasting thunderstorms with heavy rain in the area today and tonight. Hopefully as the day goes on this will not be the case.

What a way to start the severe weather season.

Phil.

but only a watch. I am sure because of yesterday, a forcaster is more likely to issue a watch for conditions that are even close.

It's not related to yesterday... This is a good sevwx setup regardless of what happened in the past.
